Totally!

Normally I'm all over STI styling, but it looks like they really dialed it in this time.

The Dynamic & Stylish package would be my choice.

This showcases the new EyeSight safety suite and STI Sport with the various driving modes.

The other videos are just pieces of this one long video.

you know what?
I think the new STI Sedan will look just like that.
Remove the wagon area, and insert large wing. STI for US.

I hope they change up the rear quarters a little. The way they kick up sort of works on a wagon, but it's going to look weird juxtaposed with the downward slope of the rear window on a sedan.

Default New Subaru Levorg to be WRX-based weapon

New Subaru Levorg to be WRX-based weapon -

Impreza-based wagon set to launch only with high-output engine shared with new WRX

Subaru is preparing to bolster its performance car line-up with the launch of the new-generation Subaru Levorg later this year and it will be repositioned as essentially a wagon version of the WRX.

The current-generation Levorg has been offered with both 1.6-litre (125kW/250Nm) and 2.0-litre (197kW/350Nm) turbocharged four-cylinder boxer engines, the latter shared with the Subaru WRX.

But with the incoming 2021 Subaru Levorg, local executives from the Japanese car-maker have confirmed to carsales that the small-to-medium-size wagon will pack a high-performance punch that could match the 200kW-plus 2021 WRX.

This is despite the fact the new Levorg was launched in the Japanese market with a tamer 130kW/300Nm 1.8-litre turbo-petrol boxer.

Levorg in Australia will morph into something a little different to what it is now, said Subaru Australias national corporate affairs manager David Rowley.

The car will take on a slightly different form which potentially will appeal to a more performance-orientated audience.

Rowley and other Subaru Australia executives were not prepared to confirm the new Levorg would have the same running gear as the long-awaited new Subaru WRX, which will launch around the same time in the final quarter of 2021.

But all indications point to a narrow-focused line-up Down Under that will see the Levorg use the same 2.4-litre turbo-petrol engine expected to slot into the new Rex.

There are hesitations among Subie execs because weve not yet officially seen the new WRX, so its adoption of the new FA24-series 2.4-litre boxer turbo-four thats already used in other models overseas remains the subject of speculation.

In the US-market Subaru Outback and Ascent, for example, the 2.4 turbo produces 195kW/375Nm, paired with a CVT automatic transmission, but in the new WRX and the Levorg it should be tuned to produce well in excess of 200kW.

The forthcoming 2022 Subaru WRX STI is also expected to use a version of the FA24 engine, uprated to as much as 300kW if reports prove correct.

Bearing design cues that will carry over to the WRX, the new Levorg is built on the same Subaru Global Platform that underpins the current Impreza, Forester, XV and the just-launched sixth-generation Subaru Outback.

At 4755mm long and with a stretched 2670mm wheelbase, the sports wagon is slightly bigger than the outgoing model, which could provide some comfort for those lamenting the loss of the Subaru Liberty which was discontinued last year.

The current Subaru Levorg with the 197kW 2.0-litre engine is priced from $50,390 plus on-road costs for the entry GT-S version, rising to $53,240 plus ORCs for the STI Sport flagship.

However, it is no longer listed on the Subaru Australia website, and the company has advised that there are literally only five left in dealer stock.

SOA how about a full blown STI Levorg version as a consolation for the long ignored (and largest) US market?
Id imagine the local press would go bananas ape ***** over it!

I don:t love this, but sometimes the in person is different. I am looking foreword to seeing what we are actually getting in the US. For example I find the 2008 to 2014 Hatch much more attractive by comparison. I like the current look of the Sedan I think over this. Although it will be easier to decide if I like the current sedan vs a new sedan that they will offer. I think I like the current US Impreza Hatch look better than this also.

Many of them have been proudly ruining cars for 50 years. These are the folks that brought us the Pontiac Aztec and Buicks with fake wood cladding.

well, in Germany we never got the good one with the 2 ltr turbo engine and 197 kw...in fact we got the mediocre one with the 1.6 ltr turbo engine and 125 kw...but hey, they canceled the 1.6 ltr turbo in Germany and gave us a gutless 2.0 ltr NA engine with the screaming power of 110 kw....and for 2021 they canceled the Levorg

**** you Subaru

Nice swipe at an entire generation. Most boomers grew up with wood paneling, as children, not designers. Sure there has been some mistakes. But it seems as though the proliferation of gas guzzling, tippy SUVs can be mostly blamed on later generations.
This boomer has been pleading for a full blown STI Levorg as much as anyone. You know a station wagon; AKA Boomer vehicle.

Quote:
In 2016, Audi spokesman Anthony Garbis explained to MA at the 2017 Allroad launch why the current A6 Avant and A6 Allroad didn't make their way to the U.S. It came down to price positioning. Garbis said Americans hadn't shown a desire for wagons and instead steered toward crossovers. He added the A6 Avant would probably cost around $60,000 or $70,000 if it were sold here, which is Q7 money. Garbis asked rhetorically how Audi could justify importing the A6 Avant and A6 Allroad if Americans would likely choose the Q7 at the same price.

However, last year, Audi of America Vice President of Product Management Filip Brabec told Motor Trend the brand was listening intently to the voices clamoring for the RS 6. "Keep writing letters," he said, and acknowledged internal discussion about bringing the wagon to the U.S.

Maybe, just maybe, Americans will get to sample what has been forbidden fruit in the future.

Apparently Audi got enough letters.
