Default Is there a checklist for buying used GV STIs?

Sup folks.

I'm looking at a used 2013 STI sedan this weekend.

Sub-40k miles, basically perfect paint, dealer claims "never modified" which I will believe after I've seen the bolts on the car.

I know a little about post-2017 FA Subarus, but I have no clue when it comes to the EJ series engines or really anything pre-2015.

Is there a checklist of sorts to go through while looking the car over?
If not, what should I be looking for?

This will be my first EJ.

leaks, strange noises, funny smells, dents, dings....prob would recommend take to Subaru for prepurchase inspection if you aren't familiar with it

another random thing with the GR/GV cars is the clutch firewall creak. Push the clutch in, and check to see if the brake pedal moves.

if you hear a creak/squeek and the pedal moves, likely the firewall welds are broken at the clutch pedal and require to be drilled/riveted or rewelded. Sometimes all it needs is the clutch rod to be greased.

Also, the hydraulic PS rack likes to leak.

Besides normal EJ issues, those are specific to the model you're looking at.

The hilarious part is, the local Subaru dealer is also the seller.

The next closest dealer is 1 hour away in another city.
