Default Help me find an office all-in-one

Dear O.T. Tech Guru's,

I own a small business and need a new all-in-one printer/scanner/coppier/fax.

I need it to meet the following metrics:
quick printing
Color capable
Ink cartridges are affordable
not going to be junk in a week
relatively inexpensive
reliable

I'm not looking to buy some outrageous new gizmo deal from HP/xerox. As i said i'm a small (single person) business and I need an new setup since my EPSON CX5200 doesn't love me anymore. It also lacks a fax which i anticipate needing at some point.

Any suggestions on where to purchase it would be also appreciated.

Thank you

I am a fan of the HP all-in-one printers. I have had great success with two of them. The one I would reccomend would be the 7310 series, which will copy and scan legal size paper. Other than the HP, Brothers is something to look into, especially if you are going to be making lots of copies.

Actually, that's a really good suggestion. The HP office jet 7310 is a scanner, copier, fax, and printer. It also has an ethernet port in the back for networking. As stated above it can scan legal documents, which may or may not be important for your small business. It's a very good machine. The only problem is if you do a lot of printing, I mean excess of 2000 sheets a month, you are better off getting a separate lazer printer for that. Inkjets don't save you money in the longrun. Definitely check out the 7310.

I hate HP, their support sucks, and to use any of their new products you need like 15 of their lame slow programs installed on your computer.

Um...or you could do a custom installation, install only the drivers and use the windows xp scanner and camera wizard. You don't need to use the HP imagezone software to use the scanner, printing, or copying function.

+1 for HP w/ drivers only installed...or just lease a real office machine.

Color ImageRunner - had one at my old office.

I hate HP, I had an all-in-one for 8 months before the scanner took a dump. The damn thing won't print if the scanner is borked. Nice design!

i had the HP office all in one 7410 and after 14 months it took a ****. warranty was only good for 12 months and they wanted 250$ to fix a machine that originally costs 500$.

i would stay away from this product, when i search for a fix online seems many others had the same issue (it's a problem with the ADF/scanner). It needed a new ADF.

if you do decide to get the HP, get the extended warranty. other than it taking a **** it did all the things very well.

What about the Canon imageCLASS MF4150?

Estimated street price $250. I wonder how much the consumables cost. Spec wise it looks good.

Some highlights:
laser
duplex printing (letter only) - this feature I like
