Anyone else have a drivers seat that is starting to wobble? The back seems solid but the base has a bit of vertical wobble in it.

Are you asking why, when you switch from one set of wheels to another set of wheels, the TPMS light goes on even though you have sensors in both sets of wheels? |

TPMS have to be "flashed" for your car to recognize. So if you've got more than one set of wheels, both of them need to have TPMS in them and they BOTH have to be recognized by your car.

It's possible to buy a sensor system that allows you to program a 2nd set of sensors to match the first set, but I didn't want to pay for that system ($150 for the programmer, plus more for the sensors themselves, if I'm not mistaken), so I just drive around with my tire pressure light on during the winter months. |

Last night I got in the car & saw 25.5 avg MPG with 88 miles so far in the tank & ALL bars still showing on the URL gauge. I got excited as this is my best best winter mileage thus far & sometimes I pay attention over the course of the drive to see if that # goes up. Which it did. But interestingly enough when I looked next it was at 96 miles & it showed a quarter of a tank gone, 3 bars down. Obviously that didn't happen in 8 miles, but just wondering if anyone else had seen some faulty fuel gauge reading like that. I know it takes a few moments for the temp gauge to read accurately & wondered if this was true for the fuel gauge.

I saw TPMS in action on Feb 5 at about 6:00am. Works great!
CAUSE EFFECT All the way through the rear passenger tire. Bummer The spare is about the same circumference / height so the car wasn't lopsided. The TPMS light went out a few miles after getting another tire put on. |

after googling, this has been a common problem and subaru never seems to fix it (even after TSB's and Recalls) now i have to decide if i should go to the dealer so it can be documented, or if i should just fix it myself.

could be 1 of 2 bolts, i just purchased a subscription to the subaru reference so i can get TSBs/Recalls for older models since the seat design hasn't changed at all.
is yours doing it too? the seat will actually rock back and forth maybe 1/16" |

No, my seat seems solid.
In fact, I was just invited to complete an online survey about my Impreza from Subaru. One of the questions was "How many problems have you had with your Impreza?" I answered "0". |

intermittently sqeaky seat front passenger window sometimes doesn't shut correctly, there is a TSB for it, there is a bracket that needs to be bent with a pliers, i need to test this one according to the TSB the rocking seat i think that is it |

I wouldn't know if my passenger window has a problem because I never lower it. The only window I lower is the driver's window. When the survey asked, "What is the one thing you would most like to change about your car?", I answered "More torque". But even that's a quibble; I think the Impreza's torque is adequate, which is to say that it's good enough. But the car would be more fun to drive with more torque. When asked what I liked most about the Impreza, I said "AWD system", followed by "reliability". |

Same here...the one thing I said I wanted to change was the location of the parking brake handle so it's not jammed in my thigh when I drive. It's not that bad but it is a slight annoyance.

I know mine's a '13, but it's basically the same model, so...

Seriously, though - either I've become attuned to it, or it just hasn't happened all that frequently. I've only heard it squeak maybe about 2-3 times a week for the last couple of months. Quote:

1. CVT could use some re-programming 2. Brakes seem to be somewhat... weak? not sure what the term is 3. Fix the g.d. fuel consumption display (odometer calculator?) issue! Maybe not necessarily in that order. |

i found a document on the tech webstite, but I don't know how to post it here, it is 18mb. it is pretty much a deconstruction of our cars to show the new technology, it was a pretty good read!
i found that our cars do have an active brake override, but it is only in effect if you have the accelerator above 80%, so that why heal-toe works with the manual, it isn't a full override, it is just a safety feature |

So Thunder Thighs can set a parking brake and a Badonkadonk can stop a squeaking seat. Nice! |

But I'd take more torque over re-positioned seat heater switches, so that's what I mentioned on the survey. The parking brake position doesn't bother me at all. |

I have a 5MT tranny, so no comment on the CVT. With regard to the display, my biggest complaint is that the AVG MPG display counts off in 3/10ths intervals. Again, this is a quibble, but to me it's stupid that they provide a tenths digit, but don't show AVG MPGs in 10ths. Duh. My VW TDI's AVG MPG display had a tenths digit, and it would count in 1/10ths intervals. Speaking of my POS VW TDI, the survey had me stack rank my opinion of Subaru's competitors. I ranked them as follows: Honda Toyota Mazda Kia Hyundai Nissan Ford GM VW (I think I'm missing one brand, but I can't think of it right now.) The survey then asked me why I ranked VW so badly. I said "poor reliability" and "poor value". |
