Official Central Wisconsin Site... Hell yeah it's about time. Fxxk all the other parts of the state. Uh just kidding. Of course we are going to be coolest most active group on this Mid-West forum.

We should probably include Wausau, Marshfield, and Waupaca in this thread too.

If Andy is going to get a Subaru this week...Then so am I. I want to be at least as cool as he is. Maybe he'll post pictures of my Subaru since I don't know how to do that.

Default Hello!!!!! Nice to meet ya!

Hello!
Nice to meet everyone.
I am John.
I am from Wisconsin Rapids, Wi.
My first Subaru was a 1976 DL Sedan.
It was sweet!
It was White.
It had small steel wheels with hub caps held on by a bolt.
The Spare Tire was under the Hood.
My buddie Opie painted a black stripe on the hood.
It looked like a capital letter "T".
It blew a headgasket so I pulled the motor and fixxed it.
It was 1980.

Now it is 2009.
I have a 2004 Subaru.
It is Blue.
It has large Gold Wheels.
But No Hub Caps with bolts.
The Spare is in the trunk.
It has a Hood Scoop.
But No Black "T".
It also blew a headgasket, so I pulled the motor and fixxed it.
You now, ....It does seem slightly faster than the DL.
But...
The DL got much better fuel mileage.
And I picked up women in the DL..........
Yea.........woman.....
I miss the DL.

Cool, nice color choice! The 06 black has a purple/blue pearl effect to it which is pretty sweet. Mine has a gold fleck pearl effect to it. Does it have silver or gold BBS?

I plan on buying gold rims this summer for mine. Either 18x8.5 or 17x9 haven't decided yet...kind of depends if I want to roll the fenders a lot and run aggressive negative camber. I plan on running at least -1.5-2 front and -1 rear anyways but may need to run more to fit the wheels and tires.

I would really like to find an open track to do some test & tune on the new sti. I hear all about this understeer, but I think with a bigger/adjustable sway bar, some coilovers, and some fine tuning with the alignment it could be overcome and become "evo" worthy.

One of those test and tune Tuesdays in marshfield would be AWESOME!

I'm so anxious to get my car done and get some summer wheels/tires for it so I can test out the suspension mods and see how much of a difference there is between my car and a stock one. I know for sure the STi will ride like a caddy compared to mine!! I think if I ran a small beetle over I'd feel it!

this thread needs some more pics!

Here is a picture timeline of past cars I've had. These are really the only ones truly worth mentioning.

97 Supercharged mustang cobra. PAWA!!

then my AWD 97 Eclipse Spyder. (yes, awd conversion)

Then my 95 talon tsi awd 2.4 stroker.

Meet Dizmm v.2, the last of my DSM world:

Then moved to something a bit nicer, the evo!

and now, the Subaru game begins.

Hey Devlish, that thing would look sweet with tint!

When I have the rex back on the road I plan on getting a window tint eyebrow like my protege above. I like it as tint on the inside so it's never affected by weather or ice scrapers! I'll let you know when I'm ready for it.

Alright nice to see a Central WI thread. I live in Plover and I've got an 05 Legacy that is stage 2. Invidia Downpipe and a Megan racing up pipe, Perrin TMIC, light weight crank pulley, AEM CAI, ACT HD clutch with 06 wrx lightweight flywheel, Short throw shifter and MOMO knob, and an Accessport with a TDC stage 2 tune with 18.5 psi boost.

I do have tint all around even on the front windshield, RBS grill, splash guards, and some 18's with summer tires, but I'm rockin the stockers for the winter.

Andy let me know if your going to swap out those rims for something else.

99% sure those rims will be coming off the car right away. I already have a few sets of wheels for the sti. One reason i wanted an 05+ sti, so I could fit all my evo wheels on it.
