Sunroof drains
Anybody have a link on exact locations of exits or diagrams or routing? I'm getting a little bit of water behind the drivers seat on the floor. Not good.

Try any online Subaru dealer parts site, they should have them.
Sounds like clogged drains. Open sunroof. Clean everything out, by hand, vacuum, etc. I use about 0.080" plastic line for a weedwhacker, 7' long or so. Cut flat, then heat a bit so it's rounded on the end. Feed it through the port by the sunroof and run it through. When you start, measure out the approximate length from the drain port to the closest pillar, down the side to the bottom of the rocker panel. Mark this length on the plastic line so you know how far to go. The plastic follows the drain tube, it's stiff enough to push, the rounded end won't go through the side of the drain tube. When done, test with water into the drain. You should see water coming out the bottom. Compressed air tends to blow the drain off, thus requiring pulling things apart to reattach which can be a PITA. . |

NP, let us know how it works out. I've tried many things in the past, the line works, easy to get and cheap.

Water problem
Did you find the problem to your leak? I have a 2009 WRX hatch with a sunroof and I have a lot of water in the back floorboard behind the driver's seat. It has been raining a lot in my area lately and I bought the car a few months ago. This is the first problem I've had with it. I have ran a cord through the drains and made sure they are not stopped up, water runs through clean and fast. A/C has not been running in the past month, so I don't think it would be that. Any thing else to try or look for? I had a small problem with water in my side skirt on the driver side, could that be connected?
Thanks!!! |
