Default Case Half Dowel Pins

I needed to take out one of the case half alignment dowel pins and in doing so I destroyed the pin. I didn't think twice about it until I found out Subaru doesn't sell them except already installed into a brand new case half. I was wondering if someone could help me out by selling me one or by leading me in the right direction to find one.
Thanks,
Eric

BTW this is off an EJ257 block if that even makes a difference.

Get a dimension of the pin (diameter and length), then try a place like McMaster-Carr which is an industrial supply house.

I have posted in the WTB already and I know its a 12 mm O.D., I already measured the I.D. and length but I can't even find a 12mm O.D. hollow dowel pin so if I could at least get that I could cut to length and drill out the center to make it fit

Any chance you could buy an otherwise-damaged case-half, and pull out a dowel pin without damaging it?

I honestly have no idea, but people break motors all the time, so it might not be hard to find a trashed case-half to experiment on. Try any local Subaru shop that does performance work.

I got a couple of connectors removed from trashed wiring harnesses this way, though of course removal was a lot easier in my scenario.

That link is for the case to head ones which I need as well but those aren't hard to find, I need the ones that go between the two cases which is not on their website. I did however email Flat Irons Tuning to see if they had any sitting around or could find them for me. I myself actually have 2 sets of cases sitting around that I am not using so I may try this on it, https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho...93&postcount=2. I was just trying to see if I could find a new one because then I know for a fact the I.D. and O.D. would be perfect therefore aligning my cases perfectly. Also once I take one out of my old block then when I go to sell that I would need one again.

Whats the conclusion of the block halve dowel pins? I'm also in need of a pair. I'm rebuilding a ej257 and was wondering if the ej253 SOHC dowel pins will work.
