Default FP RED 84mm Inlet fitment issues with IAG TGV deletes.

Hello. Has anyone ran into fitment issues running a big inlet FP Turbo using their 84mm inlet? I attempted to use my IAG TGV deletes but no success. Any ideas or past fixes, besides going rotated? Thanks in advance.

Even using some Phenolic spacers, its a TIGHT fit for that sized inlet with the FP Black / Red.

8MM spacers should do the trick.

FP inlet is only 3.3" That being said 3" inlet is a very popular inlet on the ej platform. Lots of people run FP inlet with no issue. Yes, its tight but you shouldn't need spacers. I personally would not trust spacers. Go with a modded long runner factory manifold or AMS.

I was looking into the Long Runner intake manifold off a 2.5i Forester and found them to be pretty inexpensive brand new at the dealership. The only issue i have is now I have to convert to a FMIC set up and find someone to fab up the piping.

Ks-tech on eBay sells a 3” to 84mm coupler that is said to be designed for the fp 84mm turbo inlets. I talked to fp and they said it should work but you might not get as much whistle sound (t51r mod sound). This is the route I’m going to try and go. I have the coupler and fp black, just waiting on a few more parts.

His eBay name is kstech*store

I had a FP green HTZ with a anti surge compression housing that was 84mm on my 04 STi. I had 8mm spacers and it still was a very tight fit with the silicone coupler. Its doable but a PITA. You can see in the pic, i used a APS hard inlet too.

I used Spacers on my FP Red with FP inlet. Fits perfectly with no issues.
