My Father put great importance in giving a name to anything. Something as important as a fishing boat deserved extra time and thought in his mind. Both boats we had before his untimely passing were named for the island I'm from-St. George Island in the Bering Sea. The first he named "Misty Isles" since fog often shrouded all the islands in the archipelago. The second he named "Dragonslayer" after the Great Martyr, St. George. The best names often come from items of great importance in your life. Synonyms, or even puns can make great names with meanings that are close to your heart.
