Agreed about the price considering for 80k you can get a gtr. But the s206 is way more rare than a gtr. I've seen in Sussex county nj alone about 10 gtr's this year alone. Never have I seen any s20 anythings here or at any shows. So so perfect of a car i bet.

yeah, pretty rare... 300 S206 units built, 100 of which are the NBR editions.
http://www.topspeed.com/cars/subaru/...-ar120543.html might as well concider this the 22B of the modern times. people will still pay up to $30K just for a 22B... that thing was built in 1997! i want the S206... but way out of my price range. |

The car dealer (Eagle auto sales) that the V2 impreza in the first post is at...was within walking distance of my house when I lived in Hamura-Futo Tokyo, Japan...They not only sold a lot of Subaru's but most of their employee's actually owned STi's and EVO's that were built for rally...and they rallied them almost every other weekend. They invited me to go drive but I didn't want to ruin my Impreza. Looking back though, I should of done it!

When the STi was finally brought to the U.S., FHI (Subaru's parent company) felt that the American buyer would prefer a motor with more torque, so the 2.5L was put into our car, while leaving the JDM car a 2.0L to meet the rally requirements. Both the EJ207 and EJ257 have pro's and con's, but both are great motors. *disclaimer: my post is being recounted from memory from my time on Nasioc. this site is pretty good. but it's dealing with the dealers that might be a pain in the butt. if they don't want to help you out due to shipping outside of the country then they will not help you. but for the most part, they can work with you on these issues.
i bought my 99 STI RA Ltd from this site and had them ship it to me. |

Good luck with that...
Too many loops to jump through that it wouldn't even be worth it. |

I know How to get It registered here, physically sipping it would be the hardest. But for 30k for a low mile ra-r It's certainly feasible to do it

there is a reg or something in the JFRTO (<--- i think that's correct) on cars that are rare like less than 500 ever made can be shipped back to the states as a rare car or show car. you can't drive it everywhere as they want to monitor the ob once a year. i have to look it up but it says you can get it back to the states.. the 22B is one of those cars.
