Cool Uh oh... another Californian transplant!

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm a San Diego native and I just graduated and landed a sweet job at Microsoft which allowed me to get my new WRX!! (see pics below)

I'm moving up into some MS temporary housing late next week and a friend is driving up with me and then flying back down on Saturday evening. Any suggestions of things to check out before he has to go home and I have to unpack?

Anyway, I look forward to meeting you guys! I'm a car newb but I figure if there is any car that could turn me into an enthusiast its this one!

if you and your friend are looking to do the
"Seattle Tourist thing..."
then head for seattle center - see the space needle - EMP, Monorail, etc.

then go down to the water front
catch Pike Place Market, Seattle Aquariam, Ye Olde Curiosity shop.. etc...

then move over to Pioneer Square...
hit the Seattle Underground tour - gotta love that.. it's great...

you do all that and i'll be impressed!
not bad for a Californian!

hehehehe welcome to WA...
we look forward to meeting you soon!

Damn Californians moving up here and ruining everything. Oh wait, I moved up here from California just over a year ago

Where in San Diego are you from? I grew up in Escondido, graduated from college, and got a sweet job with Boeing that brought me up here and allowed me to get my WRX Oh, and enjoy the good weather up here while you can. If you're like me you'll soon miss 70 degree days at the beach in the middle of December. Overall its really great up here though. Hope you like it as much as I do.

I've lived in Point Loma my whole life... one of those lucky bastards who live about 3 blocks up from Sunset Cliffs Just graduated from Cal Poly SLO in June and I'm really looking forward to moving up there. I've only been up there a day and a half (for my on-site interview back in April) and it was sunny both days and I was told that I really lucked out!

I have a feeling I'm going to like it up there, a few friends from high school have since moved to Seattle and highly recommend it so I have high hopes. Thanks for the invite Ryan, that sounds like a blast but unfortunately I'm moving up there at the end of next week, not this week so I won't be around yet. I'll make sure to stay on top of the upcoming meets and get to one ASAP to meet up with y'all.

Hmm... if you really want fake puke, consider visiting Archie McPhee's . On the way to the Ballard Locks, a prime tourist attractions, fish should still be jumping

I've always liked DogDoo.com

You can send a bag of dog poop to anyone in the world!

Econo-poop (20 Pound Dog). Compact and tubular logs.

PooPoo Special (50 Pound Dog). A larger, more robust turd.

PooPoo Grande (110 Pound Dog). Our largest poop, often topping an amazing 2 pounds of messy material.

Talking

Thanks for the welcome everyone! And yeah, *another* silver one I couldn't choose between WR Blue and silver and since the only sedan with the options I wanted was in silver that pretty much made my decision for me. I absolutely love the car, though I'll be happy when I get settled in and find a dealership to take it to up there to hopefully get the annoying deceleration noise/rattle/scrape taken care of

...and of course my first new thread is hijacked by an assortment of fake and real dog poop information. Gotta love the I-Club
