Awesome! How much boost you running? My target was around the 420 mark

How well does your core keep up with air temps? I am really on the fence for an AWIC setup but I am afraid of how the system works both on the street (traffic) or on the track (not shedding heat through the exchanger fast enough)
what are typical IATs? |

Today with heavy stop start traffic and ambient of 36 degrees centigrade (97F) plus 65% humidity it was around 38 deg c max. Usually around 40 deg c mark but results vary from kit to kit.

Edit! Found an issue with the pump connection today. Repaired connection intake temps now 38deg c after multiple wot pulls

Having back pressure issue so waiting to get a 3.5” dump pipe fabbed up. Been back on the dyno making 375kw and 595nm @25psi. Just driving it for a few weeks then back in for dump but won’t be finished till new year. All good very quick as it is

What turbine housing are you running? Seems to me it would make more sense to go to a larger turbine housing to aid flow then fabricating a new exhaust. A 3 inch exhaust shouldn’t be restricting you at that power level. I would be curious on your manifold and pre-turbo exhaust is like as well as your heads specs.. |

I can see the 1.03 becoming beneficial as your power increases, but not sure that it is really necessary. How are your measuring this pressure issue? Or is is speculative that back pressure is the issue? The cams are interesting; have you you dialed them to compare to an off the shelf cam option? |

2007 2.5i wagon STI swap?
I love my wagon, but I don't love it's lack of power. I got around 12k to throw at my 2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5i wagon to make it a quick little bugger. I'm planning on using 1k for rims and tires (285's), 1k for bucket seats and steering wheel/ steering wheel accessories (I will be using primarily NRG branded stuff here), 1k for new paint, 1k for coilovers. That leaves 8k for an STI engine and a manual transmission. I can get an STI engine for about 4k with 50k miles (I will probably rebuild it anyways to replace gaskets) and that leaves me with 4k for a transmission and clutch pedal. Any ideas on what a shop would charge me for this process?

A full STI swap will also need a bunch of other parts. ECU, cluster, axles, hubs, differential, knuckles, rotors, brakes, fuel pump, etc. Sell the Impreza and buy an STI or WRX.

nice! have a very similar build on my 2014 STI, made 498whp on E55 (couldn't get a very high blend unfortunately) but still very pleased with it.

Above pic is .86 26psi vs 1.03 28psi. Stopped at 28psi as back pressure was at 1.2:1 even with the 3.5" dump pipe and 50cel cat. Very happy with the car now as it feels more responsive with the bigger rear and still full boost 4k rpm!
