They're still $30,000 for a penalty box, even with the discounts. Hopefully the used ones will drop in value.. but there's no way I'd buy a new one unless the fire sale gets a lot, lot deeper.

If it crashes you will see cars like the 86 get completely axed. New sports car refreshes and next gen models could get axed or delayed too.

Definitely something I will be paying attention to. Hertz has some fun cars they'd probably let go before the more utilitarian.

Down near Orlando, they have a couple 2019 BMW 740i's with 18k for $41k and 12k miles for $43k. MSRP start around $83k... Also 5 Hertz Yellow/Black Corvette Z06s for $60k. And many $60+k SUVs for $40k ish. If they do file, there's going to be a flood of "fun" cars on their site. Now, having them as fleet/rentals is another ball of wax.

I'm on the hunt for a very lightly used VW Atlas right now, and fortunately for me the market just got flooded with a TON of rental Atlases... going to seriously drive down the price for all of the used ones on the market. Only problem is sorting out the rentals vs the private owners. Thankfully most of the car search websites have the free carfax summaries which show who registered the car. But one year old 45K MSRP cars are showing up on dealer lots for sub 30k. Good news for me.

Too bad there's not a boatload of pristine S2K's getting offloaded right now...

We've gotta wait for COVID to infect 80% of the population before all the boomer car collectors' estates get auctioned off for rock bottom prices and all the 911s, Lotuses, S2Ks, and special edition Miatas flood the market.

Yeah... But the weather is nice and I want it now... Lol.

But yeah, I think the full effects, especially on cars that are likely owned with no payments, are yet to be seen. But I'm keeping my eye on the pulse.

Good luck on that but you never know. HK never discounts their PDW's afaik. But man did they start dealing on the P30's. I was able to get a P30 and a P30sk for about a grand total 2 years ago. Prior the P30 alone was $800. PDW, get a Scorpion. The CZ is excellent. Throw this on there and you are done. Magazines are excellent and inexpensive, they cost what Glock magz do.

I think he was talking about old guys dying and their wives selling off their collectible goods, not knowing what they are.

God bless the Czech Republic, got to visit a year ago, loved it.

Used truck prices are coming down around me. After a few frustrating attempts to buy a new lariat, (salesman I was working with would try to transfer a vehicle only for it to be sold or the other dealer give a run around), a used 2018 Lariat loaded with 30k miles showed up on his lot and was asking $34k. After a quick test drive I tell him $31k and I’ll take it. We go to the finance guy for the official forms for sale (was trading in my truck then just paying the difference off in cash) and come to find out, it had sold a few hours before and the other salesman forgot to take it off the lot.

I was a little frustrated having had to go back and forth a few times for a truck but not livid or anything. The finance guy asks me if I would be interested in a Raptor. First off, no way I’m paying $70k for a damn truck, not $65k or $60k. They had a 2018 demo model. That they for some reason still had. Truck has 11k miles fully loaded from factory. They wanted $60k for it. Ended up getting it for $52k and the 100k miles bumper to bumper warranty with gap (don’t need gap but whatever) for an additional $3,000 (normally $8k).

They were also willing to sell me a 2020 lariat with 501a, lifted, wheels, moon room, etc for $60k otd. MSRP was $71k.

Discounts on new cars are starting to show up a lot more. I'm seeing a lot of "project cars" for sale on craigslist now too. Some used prices have dropped a bit as well.

That's a good deal on the Raptor, congrats. What color did you get? We need pics. Also look into the window seal, don't remember if it's the roof or back window that's known to leak.

They were going to sell me that 2020 Lariat for a damn steal. They are definitely out there, especially considering dealers are running out of new inventory and want to clear as much as possible so they get first allocation om new shipments.

I just posted my M2 for sale. Asking $37,500 which is a pretty solid deal. I'll be looking to pick up a 70's era BMW 2002 for a project.

Its white, my least favorite color but the deal was too good to pass up. My co worker who builds and sells cars at Mecum auctions (does full frame off and paint) said he would sand it down and give a true repaint for cost of supplies plus $500. I might have it repainted to either lead foot, metallic grey color or some sort of artic / frozen white. Not sure yet.

Yeah, i've heard of the moon roof leaking. Fingers crossed I dont have to run into that issue.

Thats a good deal

I almost bought a 2019 Silverado HD 2500 diesel with long bed, fully loaded with 3000 miles for 50k. but they dicked me around with a 6% APR because they low-balled my trade-in and then when i walked, called me offering me more money for the trade. Then tried to make up that difference with the 6% APR.

no thanks.

There are already good deals. I added a 600LT to the garage and a pretty hefty corona discount. 358k msrp car with 2300miles for well over 100k less than that.

Dude white is fine. Trip by the wrap shop to add a little bit of vinyl youíre good. If itís me just clearbra the front end and / Or wrap the whole fíing thing.

Donít kill resale value changing the color.

Iíd buy the M2 myself if I was ready.

Eh, wrapping is so damn expensive and itís rock chip city out here. The wrap would get destroyed just normal driving let alone taking it on the dirt.

I hear Honda's re-start was a complete utter mess down south.. so bad they had to shutdown the line temporarily to re-sort all the supply or something.

Dude that looks great. Looks solid in white. In white it's kind of a sleeper, and I think that is awesome. Same color as my FoRS. F all the attention whore colors. I think you bought it in the right color. And at the price you got it, you stole it.

Clearbra front end, rockers below the doors, and behind the rear wheels, door cups and do the first 6 inches of the roof, and done. I put a peraagon tonneau on my truck and it's tattays. Hell of a deal and truck. You can now drive to the south and be in the in crowd of brahs.

I canít ever be apart of the brah crowd lol. Took it off roading a few hours ago and wow, the technology and suspension on this for an out of the box oem performance truck are damn impressive. It crawled with a decent amount of ease, the hill descent control is legit, the steering when going higher speeds and the way the suspension gets better is incredible. I didnít think Iíd enjoy doing this but itís fun as hell.

/joke that probably is only relevant to the first gen Raptors

$37,500 for the M2, though... hmmm. That seems like a great deal.
