Unhappy Nuts

When valve clearance is compromised due to a timing belt popping off one of the pulleys is the typical result bent valves only, or is there enough force to actually damage the heads?

I have repaired several subs after timing belt/ covers broken due to traffic accidents.Valve damage does NOT allways happen,if it does it is usually limited to bent vales on LH bank only. Had Legacy Turbo today with smashed cam wheels on RH bank replaced wheels and belt, runs perfect. Good luck!

It is possible to tweak a valve just by letting the belt off and having the valves snap shut. The valves can interfere with each other. Probably not very common though.
You will know when you start it up. Good luck.

Man, that blows. So sorry to see my drivetrain twin so crushed.

Glad you and the little one are ok.

On a side, let me know if you need any help tracking down parts - not sure if you lost a cam gear or not, plus whatever else you need. I have some bits and bobs from breaking down a ver2 RA that might help as well.

After two weeks of waiting and dealing with insurance companies a leakdown test was performed this morning and leakdown was less that 15***37; on all cylinders. This is the first good news I have had since I wrecked the car

Off to the body shop it goes to get repaired!
