![]() The lights will work, the responsive steering will not.

![]() Do you have a source for this? I've been researching this too and I thought the main connector was different. 2015-2017 LED did plug in to a base wrx with no auto-leveling functionality. Duhh, he said sti.....
but using that, 2015-2017 wrx AND sti used the same headlight plug. 2018 limited wrx and sti, I've only read that they have a different plug. Last edited by amiexploited; 03-08-2018 at 07:23 PM. Reason: added more words |

![]() I don’t mind the responsive steering but more so the factory C light DRL is what I am looking for. I have a brand new set of Subispeed sequential headlights I’m selling or possibly trading for 2018 headlights plus cash if it works

![]() I believe that the Halogens are 12 pin where as the new 18+ headlights are 16pin. Lack of 4 pins could explain the missing steering response.

![]() It works, I have a friend who's done it. I'm currently working on sourcing the connector for the 12 pin/old style headlights. I've determined the correct connector for the 16 pin. Once I have that worked out I'll sell the adapter harnesses. Only think that will not work is SRH as that is driven by a new/revised BIU.

On the 15's, these two wires are not present or pinned out on this connector, from what I can tell in the service manual. I've found that the '17 CM is PN 84051VA110. The 18+ CM is PN 84051VA170. The modules are ~$150 from what I've seen online. I am yet to research what type of connector is on the CM, so that I could possible source additional pins to add Pin 7 & 9 to the harness, and run to the headlamps. Shining Speed in Japan has a harness that does this. The full harness with the newer CM is ~$440 on their site. They mention that in order to not have error lights and get get SRH functioning, you have to swap the CM and have the dealer recalibrate the system. However, I've found the correct procedure for doing the calibration in the '18 Service Manual, and I don't believe that a special computer is required to perform the procedure as they mention. I could be wrong though. The procedure in the manual says this is what you do if you replace any part of the headlight system, including the CM. Here's the info for the pinouts. I'm not sure if they are 100% correct as I have not yet performed this swap: 18+ LED Pinout: 1=Halogen high beam +12v 2=Ground (high beam) 3=Lo Beam +12 4=Headlight Leveler System Ground 5=Headlight Leveler Signal (To CM B150 #16 for LH, #5 for RH) 6=Side Marker/Clearance Light +12 7=+12v DRL C-Light 8=Turn Signal 9=Side Marker/Clearance Light Ground 10=Headlight Leveler Signal (To CM B150 #10) 11=Headlight Leveler Signal (To CM B150 #17) 12=Headlight Leveler Signal (To CM B150 #11) 13=SRH Swivel Actuator +12 (To CM B150 #1) 14=SRH Inputs (To CM B150 #7) 15=SRH Inputs (To CM B150 #9) 16=? 15 LED Pinout: 1=High Beam +12 2=Side Marker/Clearance Light Ground 3=BLANK 4=C-Light +12/Side Marker/Clearance Light? 5=High Beam Ground 6=Auto Headlight Beam Leveler (To CM B150 #16 for LH, #5 for RH) 7=Lo Beam Ground 8=Lo Beam +12 9=BLANK 10=Auto Headlight Beam Leveler (To CM B150 #17) 11=Auto Headlight Beam Leveler (To CM B150 #11) 12=Auto Headlight Beam Leveler (To CM B150 #10) As I mentioned earlier, I cannot find the 12-pin connector from the 15 year models. If ANYBODY can source a store to purchase this connector at a decent price, I would GLADLY PAY A FINDERS FEE OF $100!!! This would allow me to build these harnesses for MUCH cheaper than $440 from some company Japan! |

![]() That's the harness that is on the back of the headlight, he needs the harness that starts at the fuse box and goes to the headlights. 4 differences between the 2 headlight harnesses. I've already swapped that harness from a 18 sti to a 15 sti and used the 18 headlights as well as the turn signal functioning. The only thing that doesn't work is the headlights turning with the steering wheel direction. Only way thatll work is if you replace the dash harness as well

how does this work considering my harness is 12pin and the headlight is 16pin? does it just fit with the bottom exposed?? I know that I don't have the SRH feature yet (till you make the harness haha) |

![]() sorry for reviving this thread, but wondering if there is an update on this? I have a 2015 wrx sti with subispeed v1 lights and looking to go back to oem. Having the SRH from 18+ models would be a nice thing to have and a guy with a 2019 sti is willing to trade with me, but just want to make sure the lights will work in my car. SRH doesn't need to function right now, but will be nice if this harness becomes available in the future.

![]() Bump. Any update? I have a 2017 STI and am looking to get 2018+ headlights. I’m not electrically inclined. I’m just wondering if I can plug the 2018 headlights into my car without buying a new harness, i’m not worried about the SRH

![]() How do you convert the 16pin limited SRH harness connections to the 12pin base/premium connection? I want to run premium headlights without SRH but not sure what is need to swap the 16pin connection for the 12pin connection.

![]() Actually says on that link he posted "There are no current solutions for the steering responsive headlight function currently, but we have built in the connector in case of aftermarket development."
