Default Members north of Boston?

Forum newbie here and original 2002 Impreza WRX wagon owner. All stock, had been my daily driver. 150k miles. Recently got a new ride for my daily but would like to hold on to the WRX and learn to work on it.

Wondering if there’s anyone in the Woburn/Stoneham area north of Boston willing to show me the ropes.

My first task is dealing with a cylinder 2 misfire code. Auto zone guy said coil pack.

From there I have some body work I need done. So looking for a recommendation there.

Cheers!

Cylinder 2 misfire on a 150k bugeye could be a plug, coil pack, injector, or even a cracked exhaust valve.

Swap the 2 and 4 coils, see if the misfire moves (and inspect the condition of the coil packs while you are doing so). If it does, replace the coil pack with an OEM coil pack (parts stores ones do not work).

If It doesn't, check the plugs. While you are in there do a compression and leakdown in those 2 cylinders so you can compare them.

This will get you pretty far.
