I 10000% agree there, good thing I've been bookmarking all my favorite build threads throughout the years and I just go back to them whenever I need inspiration ( I should get off my lazy arse and make mine as well ). Also dont like that the forums doesnt show a lot of the old threads anymore

I 100% agree. When I had my s2000 I was huge on s2ki and was on there all the time. But with how social media is now these types of forums are not as huge as they used to be. Ive been working on my sti for almost the past 2 years. It's pretty much where I want it now and how I envisioned it when I first got it. Here is a picture of my old s2000 http://i.imgur.com/jAI3Ys0.jpg

I think the biggest Downfall was the whole Photobucket thing. Instagram is was easier to upload pictures and updates. I miss the days of the forums but I can't even upload pics on the nasioc app anymore.

Bought a totaled 07 sti a while back and brought back to life. Not much of a picture taker, but here we go.

How it sat in the yard. Interior was really clean (no pics):

They claimed the engine was busted, originally was going to be a part out, but timing was in check and aside from an accessory pulley or two being dinged up and the engine/trans pushed back a couple inches, I wasn't so sure it was done for:

New timing belt kit:

And, it runs:

So, decide to keep it. New rad support mocked up:

New body panels and paint:

Replaced the bearings in the transfer case due to a very loud whinning noise at speed (problem solved):

First wash after the body was put back together. I bought some used OEM grilles a bit later on and had those repainted (no pics).

Shortly after, had it eTuned (came with ELH, up-pipe, 3" exhaust) and worked on some of the smaller need to do items (replacing the front seat belts, steering wheel, couple minor sensors, etc).

Great job and kudos on reviving her. Looks like nothing ever happened to it. A front lip would set it off me thinks.

Default what is this from??

I was recently in a wreck and I am in need of a front bumper, nose clip, whatever its called. thats beside the point. i came across this while looking for parts and i cant figure out what car its from... it has hawkeye headlights and the 06-07 impreza grille but the bottom part of the bumper is throwing me off... and the seller cant tell me for sure if it will fit my 07 impreza or not...

so does anyone know what this is from or if it will fit on an 07 impreza sedan?

if the picture doesnt work here is a link to it on ebay..

don't quote me but this looks like it's off an impreza wagon model of sorts. The front fenders don't appear to have the stock sedan "flare" to them and that front bumper is quite interesting lol. I would venture that you could make this work with some time and modifications, but I think it would be way easier to just find the right parts.

That's why I own a wagon

Here she is with the OEM headlights. I switched them out for C LED bar lights.

I agree, I don't think the wagon noses are the same as the sedans with regards to the fenders. I've also bought nose clips before and it can be a crap shoot on getting one delivered without damage. Freight companies aren't easy on them and requires extremely good packaging to ensure no damage.

Depending on what needs repaired, I'd also look into buying the pieces that you need and welding in a new rad support. May be more cost effective.

It's the shortest short shifter on the market. It's more extreme from me going from stock to my kartboy. To my kartboy to the cae ultra shifter. It is super tight and mechanical. Hands down my favorite mod on my car and I have alot done to it. Is it worth the 1500 dollar price tag? For 99% of subaru owners it's not. But for the 1% like myself it was worth every penny.
