How do you remove heads/cams
hey guys I am currently trying to do head gaskets in my 2.0L WRX. I am tring to remove the Camshafts right now and I was wondering what the proper way to remove the plastic cam gear is? I know your suppose to use a 10mm hex I believe and someone said to hold the camshaft with a wrench. Now I don't want to scratch it up or anything, but is that really how to do it? Also if you guys have any advice when doing this please let me know. Do you have to mill the heads and get them machined againbefore installing them back. The heads only have 2,000 miles since they just had new valves and there is ony 6,000 miles on them total. Also do I need to replace the head bolts, they also ave same amount of miles? Thanks
