any how, this was the bugeye thread where I used to come looking for nice bugeyes from owners of all sorts but reccently it's only been from a small group of guys commenting on each other's rare parts or JMD this, JDM that (not meant as an insult, just bummed that there's more comments then pics) In short, it's been kinda dull with alot of conversation and not too many pics anymore.

so, I guess to keep the old going, here's another pic of mine
I'm not easily offended. Thick skin down to the core

Quick question, I'm looking for a Subaru keychain bottle opener, like the one subarugenuineparts used to carry. Anyone know where I can order one? No luck on ebay

That wagon has many leather bound books, and it's apartment smells of rich mahogany. Props for rocking stock wheels, very low key for a big power wagon

Why'd you remove the dash to get to the core?

I was advised on here to remove the dash and beam, looking back on it I guess I could have maybe gotten away with not doing so but I was able to clean the compartment out since it had a ton of pine needles and such in it, even a pair of ear plugs! The car did not have a filter for the vent system when I got it so who knows how long it was driven without one.

I wrote in here you didn't need to.

I haven't ever changed or even inspected mine I believe. Any pictures on where it is or what the dirty one looks like?

I didn't ask in this thread, I made my own thread asking for advice. I think it would be impossible to remove the heater/AC compartment without removing the beam and dash. You need to move the core away from the firewall to get the ends of the rigid tubes through the wall if you were to simply slide it out of the compartment. I could not move the compartment away from the firewall at all with the beam in place.

If you're talking about the filter, here's the how-to thread:

if you never changed yours, then you probably dont have one (unless you've taken the car to the dealer for maintenance, they'll put one in.)
they bugeyes didn't come with filters but they do have the tray for it already.
the 04's started to come with filters from the factory
