Oh and why do some have gc6 for their sedan? I thought all sedans and coupes are GC8's?

I thought it was Natural and not Normal, it makes more sense. Cause if my car came from the factory with a SC then wouldn't it be it's "normal" aspiration?

GC8 is one of the body style codes for the "old school" impreza model. The "C" is representative of body style (coupe/sedan... F is for wagon). Technically, no production Impreza in the US is a GC8. GC6 is one of the US body style code designations, and is probably more accurate for the US models. Part from Japan are normally designated as being for GC8, GF8, GDA, GGA so people use those designations. Someone posted a breakdown of the full code at one point.

Good Acronym.. It should be added to the list.

IHI stands for Ishikawajima Harima Heavy Industries. (yes, I had to look that up for the correct spelling) They are a manufacturer/distributer for turbo products.

You should put more info on the 22B listing. 22B is 555 in hexadecimal format. I read somewhere that that's how it got its name.. Pull up windows calc to see!
