![]() you want the nozzle between the IC and TB. if you put it before the intercooler it might condense and form a puddle of water in there instead of going into your manifold. with TMIC it only leaves you with putting it right before the TB in the coupling or end tank. with FMIC you could put it slightly up stream to give it a chance to mix and give more chance of even distribution between cylinders.

![]() I have custom aluminum piping, (FMIC), I have bungs welded onto the piping before the last bend before it straightens into the TB.

![]() im running mine tapped into the TMIC tank. even that is a bit thin and could use a bung.

![]() thanks for the reply, im not buying a kit as such . im controlling it with my link g4 so no controller or bungs in kit form. just a pump and a tank and some safety measures .
hopefully to be operated upon higher iat . Has anyone here drilled and tapped the manifold runners on a flat four ? |

Are you going to use some sort of HSV to modulate flow or just cycle the pump via the Link. I ran a HSF-3 with my link and used PWM output to drive the FF% demand of the aquamist kit. Also used the pulse counter flow output fed into the Link for a backup flow failsafe and for logging purposes. I thought about doing meth controlled fully from the Link but I liked the results better with the aquamist controller. How were you planing to do your failsafe? |

![]() you could drill each runner but then you need 4 small nozzles and more plumbing.

im going to use aux out puts that ran the tgv valves to allow the link ecu to control the water/meth injection . this will allow the system to be turned on with a switch. the system will also have a fail safe , so if it fails or if water level drops below the minimum it will be turned of …….. hopefully. ill wire the pump to the link ecu with a solid state relay to allow g4plus to control water injection in relation to IAT and boost pressure . |

![]() I think you get better control running the pump full speed and controlling flow via PWM of a high speed valve. You get more linear flow than by trying to modulate pump speed. What are you using for a flow sensor?

I now see what your saying about the pwm and see that it is the better way to go . im running 364 whp at the moment , im hoping for 10% improvement on that |

![]() When I spec'd mine out I planned on running everything from the Link as well but in order to get good fail-safes and a good flow sensor then wire it up to the Link I realized I was't saving anything so just got an Aquamist HSF-3 system.
I'm converting over to E-85 now so removing the Aquamist kit and will probably post it for sale soon. |

![]() I thought about running 20% meth in tank (we cant get e 85 here) but its just to much aggro with storage and handling plus id probably blow myself up .
why are you converting to e-85 can you get from the pump there? |

![]() I know some one that runs water meth on he's STI 06 and the injectors is very close to 90% when the meth kicks in and it works perfect.
Making 415hp Will probably get it for my self too. |

As for your original question, correctly threaded tap will seal just fine and holds fine at 27psi (tapped Perrin FMIC a couple inches before the final bend to throttle body). Tapping all four runners for direct port is so much overkill for what you listed. Run a single nozzle with 50/50 water/methanol and enjoy the drive. The basic MAP based Devils Own kit has held up well for me, lots of races running higher content alcohol. |

main questions about this are corrosion of steel and aluminium parts and safe handling and storage of methanol. |

If facilities allow, you could always build a still to make your own ethanol. So far wifey hasn't let me do this one... probably cause I'd require some taste testing ![]() |

![]() After I switched to E85 I still liked the idea of using my hydramist as an intercooler aid and it has been working great. The Hydramist is an aquamist kit on the PWM output of the Hydra ems You can make you own 3d pwm map the will allow progressive control of the water. Then I just plumed the single 1mm jet in the end tank of the front mount and had it turn on at 13-40 psi. My intake temps have stayed well under my what used to be my normal, also you get the benefit of denser air. So my point is you don't have to get rid of these kits when you switch to E85, they still provide power for free.

![]() I always ran 100% meth pumps back then wouldnt last more than 6months but i didnt care. Car pulled picked up 30-35whp and around 45-50trq (large stock location turbo at that time) but the biggest thing was i could turn the boost up and make some REAL POWER. i liked it so much i switched my primary fuel is now methanol. Where i live its cheap and plentyful- cheaper than 87 pump knoctane infact. Engine runs cooler and cleaner i change the oil a little more frequently but eh cost of doing business.
