Default What hp gains can i expect from a uppipe?

Wassup everyone!!
What kinda hp gains can i expect from a uppipe alone? I just installed a godspeed uppipe a day ago and i could feel some improvement in power but not too much. Anyways, just curious to see how much hp it raised. Thanks

I would think negligible. On the top end - yes (a little) and on the bottom it'll assist in spool-up by 500 rpm's or so.

the main purpose for the uppipe is not really the HP gain, faster spooling, lower EGT and knowing nothing will flow into your turbo is way better than HP gain.

OK, it will spool up quicker, but just what is it that is going to go into your blower if you use the stock pipe?

The catalytic converter that's in the stock uppipe could go into the turbo. A catless uppipe will obviously make that a non-issue. Uppipe is more of an "insurance mod" rather than an HP mod. If you want more power, get a turbo back exhaust or boost controller.

what killerREX said and they say about 5-10 hp gain with up pipe.
gets rid of one cat, increases flow, turbo spools up a little faster.

i think along with the up pipe get a mbc too

its defiantely a wrothwhile mod, but its the type of thing that you are SO much better off when swapping the turbo..you'll get more out of it (bigger turbos have bigger opening where up-pipe bolts to), not to mention that for another 15 minutes of work, the turbo can be swappd too, so you are not paying 2 labor bills!

Again, a very worthwhile mod, but there are other things that should come first...turbo back exhaust and boost controller
