I'm running Toyo observe G3 Ice with studs. I have them on stock 205/55/16 wheels and they are amazing. I'll never go back to all seasons.

Assuming it is somewhere that gets significant snow, the Hakka R3, an unstudied friction tire. But we put the Nordman 7 on our older Outback, $50 cheaper per tire. https://www.nokiantires.com/tires/pa.../winter-tires/ People in middle Atlantic states, skiers outside snowy areas etc often mount the WRG2/3/4, a Tire with the Severe Snow performance rating but longer tread life. https://www.nokiantires.com/tires/pa...weather-tires/ |

Some "old" names in this thread.
I had dunlops for snows, azenis for autox and re92 for inbetween. I recall having the dealer tech ask me how my re92 looked like they had been honed with a cheese grater...a few autox events would do it. Gave up on the re92 once worn enough then just had hot/cold sets. Now just run oem on the legacy but really want a dedicated set of snows...maybe next year. |
