Absolutely true, but that isn't a loop hole for removing a cat on a car that came with one stock.

Yes...and we are talking about high flow cats opposed to a standard catalytic converter. Mine just looks like a resonator, it's the size of a softball and prob does very little to the flow of the exhaust for my setup.

Do you guys think your car will be slow with a cat? Or do you just like the badass feeling of catless?

.. Not so much on the feeling badass.. more on the lines of having a setup that I can build a monster someday with. I didn't know that the uppipe on the new WRX's were catless.. I know that is a pretty big gain on the butt dyno.. at least it was on my bugeye.

Cats and race fuel don't mix well.. Not that i'll be running race fuel anytime soon, just nice to just buy 1 exhaust system, and not have to swap/source another system later.

Have a goal of someday.. many mods/years in the future of going for a 30 psi tune.

On a different note.. ordered my AP today.. should be here tomorrow. Changing out the breakin oil tomorrow.. then stage 1. Per COBB, they claim somewhere around 20% gains? Any truth to this?

I would guess main reason people go catless is simply because it is cheaper. Catted downpipes are $$$ compared to catless..

True but add in one ticket or the hassle of e-check or whatever and it seems worth it. Seems like everyone is worried about their future years down the road 1000hp wrx. If you have that kind of dough, I'm sure you can afford to swap downpipes or have it cut out and welded

I found my solution.. TurboXS downpipe w/ cat.. and get a testpipe for $$ not $$$$$. Cat is a separate bolt on from the bellmouth. Anyone around here running one of these?

Any meets going on anytime soon besides the f4's tonight?

The next scheduled NORA autox event is Sunday Oct. 7th. Would anyone be interested in getting together for a nice morning of auto racing?
