Default 04 Baja ecm?

Okay building a major project.

Ej20 swapped 2.5rs

I have a running ej20g ecm and wiring.

I want to be able to tune it. So I need an 04 ecm... turbo with 32bit and mt.

Everyone says sti. Well I found a Baja that I can get wiring and everything for 300.

So would this work?

I don't want megasquirt. (Deletes knock sensors right)?

I know I'm missing something.

Thanks.

And this is a gutted shell car. So no wiring to begin with.

either 02/03 WRX ecu and carberry or 2004+ 32bit turbo ecu and Cobb. You would need to make sure the 2004 Baja ECU was from a turbo baja.

along with ECU you will need to change a few things on the engine, such as cam/crank sensors/sprockets, drive by wire, coil on plug, and top feed injectors would be preferred, side feed is dilapidated.

it is possible to send your ej20g ecu out to a tuner who can reprogram it, but I only know of one local to me and heard of a couple in europe. probably something similar to DSM EPROM stuff. Idk.

swapping a JDM ej205 with AVCS long block and matching ECU would be easier, but that is my opinion without any personal experience for making an ecu work with a phase 1 platform.

also don't forget Haltec has some plug and play ECUs for your engine. Less work than an STi ecu swap but more in cost, even if you're doing it yourself.
