Still need to get some video action for you guys, was at friends place to get weights and corner balance.

Here is my official new weight, and balance I've manages to move about 5% of the weight rearward and take out around 500lbs


And a nice shot of the undercarriage, with it up on the lift.

No ill effects when you use the STI dampers, they are inverted monotone so all you are welding to is just the metal shells.

Winter has been quite and car has not gotten much use, due to what sounds like some rod knock, which means I need to move quicker my engine rebuild plans. Still deciding between a high comp. NA ~13.0:1 or a 10.7:1 turbo build.

Check the dipstick for metal flakes? If not it could be a tensioner or exhaust leak, i've seen a few "rodknocked" motors without any bearing failure.

Compression without good flowing heads won't make much power. Get those things ported. See if delta will regrind your cams. Even stock compression would make some good numbers N/A with cams and head work.

Yeah, I have not confirmed its actually rod knock but there is a noise i don't like. I did an oil change recently and didn't really see any metal flakes.

Otherwise everything i have heard/read about the heads is that they flow pretty well, cams are definitely a sticking point, with the variable lift system no one want to do them at least not for anything less than 2500. Its one reason (among many) that adding boost is much easier on this motor. Like I said i am still in the debating stage, part of the high compression NA is a desire to put one in a BRZ. 350 HP NA in a brz with the sound this motor makes would be quite a nice thing.

Well I cant believe I actually found your build thread. I was the tall guy working grid at that last ZMax event that was drooling over the fozzy. Im going to loose sleep now because Im going to go back and read it from page one.
To anyone that thinks this is an awesome build... Its event better in person and the videos do NOT do the exhaust note justice. Keep up the awesome craftsmanship
