You might have more success if you explain what 2 ECUs you're working with and what you're trying to do with them.

Completely out of the blue I know, but I've had to do a head gasket this week so I've ordered a pull scale & will weigh the engine so we know how heavy it is once & for all.

And then the ebay seller is useless and it's a week overdue and still not here and I've had to install the engine in the meantime.

It'll be going back. >

Hello everyone, I'm about to order my ez30 and trans, 2 more weeks, but I'm still trying to find an ECU I can use and keep OBDII for vehicle inspection. I was hoping I could repin the ECU in my car, until I saw how much of a joke that was since my ECU doesn't have pins for 6 injectors and coils, so I'm left with trying to track down something I can merge in. I have an 09 2.5i base model Impreza, I know an STI/WRX set up would be easier, but I also know what I'm trying to do isn't impossible. I'm trying to keep this a sleeper build. I don't want a bunch of lights on the dash and I will still have to go through vehicle emissions(OBD II check up).

I thought I would just go look for an ez30D(R) ECU, and repining it for the BCU in my car, but I can't seem to find the right ECU for sale anywhere. I'm feel like I'm close to the end of laying this build out on paper, but this is a big hurdle and I need some help.

I just used this search - (tribeca, b9, outback) (ecu, ecm, pcm, computer) (3.0, 3.6, h6, ez30, ez30d, ez30r) - on Ebay Motors and found a bunch of them.

With that said, I think what you'd be looking to do would be very difficult. After all of these years I'm pretty sure I've still only seen 1 person successfully run a 2nd gen EZ30D(R) with a factory ECU, and they had to jump through hoops to make it happen.

Are they someone on here that I could correspond with? I can handle everything but the lower end assembly of the motor, I dont have the right tools to properly measure all of that, or the experience to do it right, so I'm paying someone for that part, however, the wiring, upper assembly, fab work, and tinkering to make things just right, I can do all of that. I'm planning on going to Cobb for tuning down the road, but the ECU to BCU part is important for what I want so it's the hurdle you might have just helped with, thank you. Do tell me if there is a way to contact the other person.

I've been thinking about this all day, but is there another way? Is there another way to stay OBDII and keep the lights off the dash in my car? Is there a standalone ECU I could use that supports an OBDII port for local emissions testing, that wouldn't freak the car out and turn my dashboard into a christmas tree?

I believe the Link G4+ Xtreme supports OBDII through the CAN bus.

Very seriously considering this option to deal with the OBDII inspection for emission testing, thoughts on this?

This is the manual for the simulator and if I understand it correctly I could wire this to the OBDII port for inspections. Legal, no, but is it possible/would it work?

This is where I am at now, The base's are over 2.5lbs each and the solid ej style mount is a lb which is heavier than I want, however I will verify the fitment before I spend time taking out weight.

Any news on these

Link works, embedded pic doesn't. 3D printed, I assume? That's pretty cool!

I just revived a dormant Forceforge Creator Pro at work so I could learn 3D modeling and printing, that was the third attempt at a design. Tomorrow night I'll be reprinting it with the black base and red characters, dual media printer, once I can make that work I'll refine that to a badge that fits the trunk. I think I'm going to have to wait another two weeks to order my engine, we'll find out on friday though, so can't mount the badge yet anyway. I was curious what you guys thought, I like sleepers, but it wouldn't be horrible to have a proper badge for the car when it's done.

I appreciate the offer to have them printed but I have access to a 3d printer myself. I'm just holding off until I have the engine in so I can test the fitment. The model needs work any ways, i haven't touched it sense the pictures previously posted, and its pretty obvious it needs some work
