IIRC they actually duct for that fan and don't have it just sitting out in the breeze...I might be thinking of another team's setup though.
I know my buddy hasn't had an issue on a small single radiator and fan on his evo and we all know honda kids have done it forever. I know Kienan at All Aspects (the twin turbo EJ setup) runs a smaller (civic I think) radiator too. |

Only fan is in the pit area. Car needs to be moving and by the time we're done the cool down lap temps are pretty good.

The lower support is already square steel tube. Last edited by AQ Motorsports; 04-07-2011 at 01:21 AM. |

You guys should talk with JR from Extreme Turbo systems, and have them make you a custum FMIC kit for your car.

Bell cores are nice and I've been happy with my first hand experiences with Pe cores too...if you needed ideas.
I have a Garrett core for my water to air and a PE for my air to air. |

Better make my own build thread (the sticky mentions getting approval for that, do I need to ask a mod?)
Currently the plan is a 24x12x3.5 which Garrett says works for up to 950hp. We've got a good 27-28" in width on the front of the car and a Griffin core right now. Last edited by AQ Motorsports; 04-07-2011 at 06:22 PM. |

you only need approval if you're not a vendor.
I just started the thread.... |

Guess I should just become a vendor again(for no reason). I'm still waiting for Nick's approval, going on week five now...with a few moderator buddies (unabomber, nhat, abnormal) proding him too. He did have an understandable delay though. So now I'm just waiting.
so has the new trans arrived? Last edited by Homemade WRX; 04-08-2011 at 09:54 AM. |

the main question i have is, how in the hell do you get a jack under the car? and you could probably use something better than zipties on the intercooler silicone hose... |

dude they hold up to 38psi just fine- zip ties are the new wiggens clamp.
There are four steel jack points welded to the pinch rails which extend down flush with the flat bottom. There's also a cutout in the diffuser to jack from the rear diff. Front is a no-go. |

Phatron:
You should contact steve ram from aerosim research... he is doing some really gnarly under tray/ front& rear diffuser setups. Or at least maybe what he has going on in his shop might give you some sweet ideas. |

I've seen zipties, safety wire and duct tape used for all kinda of things on DP, cup and IRL cars but never seen zipties for charge pipes (well they don't have them)...

The build looks pretty good so far. What I would do for a PPG 6 speed drag setup...
