Clutch
I just got done putting my ej257b in my 02 wrx. Got everything all hooked up. But come to find in the end that my clutch will not engage.. I just replaced the stock TOB with a OEM Exedy replacement. I slipped the Exedy onto the input shaft, attatched my fork to it along with the rod and hex nut. Once I mated the trans to engine and bolted it together, I shifted the fork towards the firewall and heard it click into the flywheel. Everything was done right but yet my clutch pedal will only move 1/2"-1" assuming it's not engaging whatsoever. What could be the problem.?

Don't know the car but there are some red flags. Definitely not enough pump or injectors for the claimed numbers

Thanks man I appreciate the reply! I vacuum bled it while unbolted with the bleeder at it's highest point and boom I got it. But now I got electrical issues... No power whatsoever including Accessories. My battery reads 12.2v .. A little oxidation on the grounds but I don't think it would be enough to cause any problems. All my fuses/Relays are good for the exception of SBF5 but that shouldn't effect my accessories from what I've been reading. My next step is to check if my Ignition is getting voltage. After that idk where else to look.

12.2v isn't the worst you could be at, but it's definitely not the best. 12.6 or more is where a good battery should be at. How old is it? If it's a flooded battery, a hydrometer might be a good investment. I agree though, 12.2v is absolutely enough to be powering accessories. |

I'd go fishing for voltage, looking for drop... Wait. SBF5 is kinda important. Did it pop? MB-9 (circuit that SBF-5 powers) feeds the main relay, fuel pump relay, ECM, and power at the DLC. You're right, it shouldn't kill power to your accessories though. Last edited by CosmoTheCat; 05-08-2016 at 10:35 PM. |
