So basically take a Lada, shave it and stance it then shove some batteries in it.

Got it.

Good job Russia!

Model 3 LR AWD insurance is $167 a year more than our 328i wagon.

Are the horror stories about trying to get a Tesla fixed after an accident still happening? I remember hearing it could take months for them to get the necessary parts from Tesla.

If cars are sitting for months while insurance companies pay for a rental then jacking up the insurance cost seems fair to an extent.

From what I'm reading, it's getting better. Someone just got their Model 3 fixed in about 2 weeks from a rear-end hit.

Our Model 3 should be delivered before the end of September!

Mine has a delivery date of Sept-Nov. What config did you order?
I know, I know, this should be in the Tesla thread.

Every manufacturer has their supplier issues (you know Tesla does not manufacture many parts, right?) Hell, I have 3 engines on order with KIA since the beginning of May. Same P/N and they are not part of the recall (which I have 6 engines on backorder, normally 6 week lead time) **** happens and it's usually a result of penny pinching to make the shareholders happy.

Gripe: the future is not here yet.

Trying to find an EV I can buy and take home this weekend.

https://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/carpool/carpool.htm
* Import into spreadsheet, limit 2018/2019
* Select ZEV only
* Do not want: Clarity, 500e, Tesla

Very limited options as half the remaining list is in scarce supply.

Which will take some of the sting out of it being worth $18k the moment you drive it off the lot.

You are about a year too soon. Maybe two. My guess is this time in 2020 there will be 5 to 10 times as many choices

What about the Bolt? Great range and decent price. Some should be coming back off lease now if you're looking to go used.

Lease, so new is requirement. They just started leasing them and this generation finally doesn't make me want to gouge my own eyes out. It's on the short list.

Considering it, though I think I might be able to get a better deal elsewhere.

Currently looking like it'll be between leaf or i3.
