Cops are really cracking down on Yarnell Hill. They watch you come up to the hill on that long straight part of the highway right before and they stand out in the road and tag you. Be careful.

Any suggestions on places to meet from some NW Phoenix people out there? There's the Yardhouse in Glendale which might be out of the way but at least familiar to most. Or we can pick something closer to Bell?

Behind santisi brothers? There is that lot behind santisis that's sort of above the actual parking lot. Its close to the freeway and sort of a middle point. Just a suggestion.

All the flashing talk got me side tracked but I'd like to join you guys!

So to recap...7am, March 17th, starting route http://goo.gl/maps/P1tnr, return route TBD

Anyone that knows the area should suggest a good meeting point...I was going to suggest Carolina's for some gut-bomb breakfast burros but looks like they are closed Sundays. Santisi brothers could work too

I've actually never taken this route to the 93, then back West. Looks fun. I'm in. Where's the meeting point? ...and what time, 7am?

Fine by me too.

Also, do you guys really want to do 7am? Or are we talking like warming up the car at 7am, grabbing a Starbucks on the way, then sitting at Best Buy shooting the **** waiting for everyone to show and leaving at 9am...?

I'll be at Best Buy on 83rd and Bell around 7am (give or take 10 minutes) on Sunday the 17th.

I was thinking we'd agree to meet at 7 then once a majority of people are there, we would head out? We can shoot the **** at some photo stops or in Prescott since Best Buy isnt all that scenic.

Right, same here. I usually take 89 through Yarnell.

Should we do something like this? http://goo.gl/maps/3vtfL
Although I got tired one time and just came down I-17. Just a thought.

Sounds like we have a meeting point! 7am@ Best Buy. Down.

It seems we take the 89 through Yarnell every time which is fun, but I actually prefer the Yarnell/Congress route on the way back down. Incredible and one lane with cliffs and guardrails.

Personally, I vote for the 93 out to the 97, then back west to Prescott on Baghdad Rd to Iron Springs Rd which would take us up and around into the north side of Prescott. Then people can determine which route they prefer back.

Any of you guys from the area know Baghdad and Iron Springs to be a nice drive?

I'am from the area and that route is ok but not near as good as 89A through Jerome, Sedona, and Flag...imo, of course I'm not driving from Phx either and driving in circles in Prescott is kinda boring.

I vote you just make the route and we do it or we will be dithering until Sunday afternoon lol.

Put it in the first post and we are good to go.

Where's lunch?!

Ok, then I say we take the usual route through Yarnell/Congress up to Prescott, where we usually eat at the Brown Bag, then decide the route back from there. Like the original post says, I just want to run, I certainly don't want to be in charge of it. If the Baghdad/Iron Springs Rds are boring, then let's not take 'em.

But if I see the AZFullThrottle group on the way up, I'm digging with them. I like beating V8's and SRT4's and Charger/Challengers and RX7's and Supras, whatever. Most Subaru drivers are conservative. I want to run.

However, my guess is these Dodge/Ford running mullets will be sleeping next to their empty Coors Light cans when we arrive at the meet at 7am - 8am. So I'll just be along for the ride... well, Ben and me that is.

We are meeting in Northwest Phoenix at the Best Buy on Bell Rd and 83rd Ave. Then we will head about 100 miles north to Prescott. After that, it looks like plans are undecided. Some people are headed another 50 miles north to Flagstaff via Sedona (fun route!) or they are turning around and coming back to Phoenix either the very popular route (for everyone and their mother, not just Subies/AWDs) via I-17 or the way we came, or even a 3rd route that Im not sure about either...? Yarnell? Whatever. Im just going to Prescott. I'll decide there what I want to do next. lol

Hehehe lol I fully endorse this message! Anything with a nonfunctional hood scoop needs to be properly smacked down.
