okay, maybe i am dumb....
i have done research and look everywhere for wiring an afc to my wrx. i downloaded the diagram from ravens blade page and countless others that had something to offer as far as installation is concerned. now i am completely fed up. it seems that wiring colors do not match with any references i have. so my question is this, can anyone who has an afc wired to their my02 wrxplease list the wires they used and perhaps some sort of diagram to show their exact location on the ecu? any "accurate" inputs would be greatly appreciated. i think i found the throttle position sensor wire because it seemed to be the only wire that coincided with any of the references that i had. again any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Did you look at wrx182's web site. He has lots of cool info for WRX's.

The ECU wire chart at http://www.wrx182.net is a little hard to find, nowadays. It's page is http://www.wrx182.net/ecmtable.html. I you want the following wires in order to hook up an APEXi S-AFC:
Ignition Power - Pin A5 - Green with Red stripe Ground - Pin C18 - Black RPM - Pin C9 - Green Throttle Position Sensor - Pin B7 - Light Green MAF Sensor - Pin E13 - Pink with Blue Stripe I made an APEXi-style diagram that I believe shows the relative physical locations of these wires. I'd appreciation it if anyone can confirm that the diagram below is correct for the 2002 WRX. EDIT: Corrected Diagram Last edited by Jon [in CT]; 01-09-2002 at 10:24 PM. |

Jon,
I can't get to the wrx182 pinout table for some reason, but I noticed that your diagram for the S-AFC above is a little different than the Apexi diagram on their site. They are using pin 17 for the ground, rather than pin 18, and pin 2 in the left-most plug for the ignition power. I know it won't matter as long as they are all going to the same place, so do you know if these are "the same"? |

The wrx182 ECU diagram is the same as the one at all the other WRX "mods" sites (e.g. ravensblade, progwrx, etc.). I conjured up this S-AFC diagram before Apexi made theirs available for the 2002 WRX (or at least before I knew it was available). I more or less chose arbitrarily among many ground and ignition power pins and I don't know what difference there might be between my choices and Apexi's.
Oh, and I gratuitously added an indication for the WRX's rear O2 sensor signal pin. |

These are the wires I tapped into. I posted this a million times, so you may have seen it before. |

There is a word viewer plugin you can download. Just a thought.
