Ferrari to follow in Starbucks footsteps: 40 retail stores coming
Ferrari to follow in Starbucks footsteps: 40 retail stores coming
Don’t worry; Ferrari isn’t going to start selling coffee. But like the Starbucks franchise, which seems to open a new store every 5 minutes (exaggeration), Ferrari said Monday that it is kicking off an “ambitious development plan” to open over 40 Ferrari retail stores within the next five years throughout Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. Recently the auto maker opened a new Ferrari Store at the El Prat International airport. Even though the retail stores are way to help promote the ‘Italian Stallion,’ Ferrari says it has a retail “turnover of more than 25 million euros ($35.4 million).” The Italian auto maker just opened a new store in Abu Dhabi in November and also plans a new store in Moscow followed by Singapore, Macao and Honolulu in 2008. Yes... there is no way I'm paying so much just because it has the Ferrari name on it, I mean a little mark up is fine, but what they are doing is murder. Then again I suppose people who buy Ferrari's would be being this stuff.
There toy cars and models weren't that bad in price though. |

Macao would actually be an ideal push, considering the number of exclusive casinos located there.
