![]() I've been debating whether to get a car now or wait for the Ioniq 5 to be available this fall/winter.

![]() Considering the current market, waiting is definitely a better option.

I started shopping for a *sigh* used nissan leaf plus *sigh*. to replace our outback. Not many on the market and the ones that are sell quick, but the used value of our outback is insane right now, I feel like I want to take advantage. I'm still too skeptical to buy a first model year anything, let alone EV. I like that the Leaf has been around for a damn long time and isn't likely to end up with major issues - like the Kona EV did... Gonna be a while before a fun EV comes out and has a few years of production before I'm ready, I can't see holding on to the outback for that long. My wife has to deal with city commuting as a teacher, so having an EV makes a lot of sense. |

![]() The interior of this thing is pretty dorky too. They made it all modular and bound to break. I remember thinking that I was interested in this, but after seeing a video walkthrough of the interior, I changed my mind.
For this class of car, I'm a lot more interested in the Audi Q4 etron 50 coming out. |

A lot of inferences by you about the interior design and being bound to break. Just because things move around doesn’t make them more prone to breaking. Personally not a fan of light interiors, but the dark one looks pretty good to me: ![]() |

![]() I really like the Ioniq 5's style.. but damn, the EV6 is the cousin I'd take home.

![]() Was interested in this, but Hyundai decided to prioritize other markets over the US so I gave up. Looks like it would be towards the end of next year to get one if you didn't reserve.

![]() I think the EV6 is much better looking. It's the best front end design I've seen in over a decade. Hopefully it signals the end of the big mouth grilles.

![]() I agree, the EV6 looks better than the Ioniq5, but I don't like sloping rooflines on CUVs; cuts into cargo capacity - make a decision, sporty car or useful crossover, not this in between BS. The Ioniq5 is what I'd look at out of the two; boxier cargo/hatch area, just more "utility" in the Hyundai CUV over the Kia.

![]() I can't say I like the EV6 or Ioniq5 better. They took their designs in different directions, which is great. I like them both for different reasons. I do like the retro looks of the Ioniq5.

![]() Front of the EV6 looks good, but that rear end is all sortsa weird. The Ioniq5 flows well all around and has really good proportions. I just wish it were like 3/4 sized...

![]() Too bad dealers are marking them up up to 10k over MSRP - I would never pay over MSRP for a car

One of the dealer was at CT. Heard they have one last one but probably it’s gone by now. Kia/Hyundai’s palisade and telluride were sold for 10k markup for a while so those dealers have experiences for markup. Not surprised. |

![]() Hyundai is not doing themselves any favors... they essentially pulled most links about the car from the website. Used to be in the 'model' and 'Build and Price' pages, but has been removed.
Was also listed in the "No Way Home" promo, but they pulled it from there, too, and replaced it all with the Tucson. They only way to find it now, on the site, is on the home page, under the "What's Happening at Hyundai" page, and then "Show More" with a link to the 'old' No Way Home page/promo/info. That said, once you do all that, and go to configure, prices are now on the site. (Which they weren't 2 days ago). RWD... SE Standard Range $39,700 SE $43,650 SEL $45,900 Limited $40,600 Dual Motor... SE/SEL add $3500 Limited add $3900 N/A on SE Standard Range Why is Limited +$400 than the others? |
