Today is the first time in a very long time I have even logged in and used Nasioc to find information on my particular issue. I am on my 3rd Subaru, my 2nd STI. Just about 6 months ago my touchscreen completely became unresponsive.
I have searched on NASIOC and the interwebs and see plenty of threads about unresponsive Clarion headunits, bluetooth issues, touch screen freezes, class actions lawsuit, etc. What I cannot find for the life of me is an actual reset procedure that works or hell even the remedy for this. I see people saying that holding down a combo of buttons resets the head unit but I have tried them all with no luck. I have tried pulling the fuses, the battery for an entire day, and lo and behold each time I connect it back or install the fuses everything is the same. I can only use the steering wheel controls to change source, volume, etc.
I have no factory warranty remaining as well as no extended warranty.
Apologies if this has been asked, answered, or I just failed to find the answer but I did search.
My head unit is a non-navigation non HK unit. It is just a base 2016 STI with a model # PF-3692 Part # 86201VA640 Clarion headunit. Any help is greatly appreciated and again I am sorry if this has been asked and answered already.
