I've seen a few sports and it's a good looking vehicle and I've seen a bunch of Gladiators so I'm sure I'll see regular Broncos soon. No need for one but I still want to see it in person.

I actually really like the Bronco sport. I know its just an escape, but man the packaging is really good, and the looks are decent. It can be decently equipped to be a fine soft roader, which should able to do outbacky kinds of things.

I will never really stretch the legs of my Trailhawk which can do more than I have the gonads to attempt.

Some Ford Broncos Are "Indefinitely" Delayed

If youíve been paying attention to the world of SUVs over the past year or so, you know that the 2021 Ford Bronco is a hot commodity. The Jeep Wrangler rival has captured a huge amount of fan and customer interest, and promises to be quite the sales success for the Ford Motor Company. Unfortunately for all of the Bronco faithful out there however, the automaker has struggled to keep the SUV on track for months now. From a delayed debut to continued production setbacks, the Ford Bronco has remained an elusive off-roader. Things donít appear to be getting any better either. According to a new report from KBB, Ford has sent messages to 2021 Ford Bronco reservation holders stating that their orders are delayed indefinitely.

ďThe reason this email is down to the wire is because weíve been doing everything we possibly can to avoid the need to send it,Ē Ford stated in the message.

Delays Continue For Ford Bronco Customers

According to the report, Ford is still struggling to secure a sufficient supply of parts from one of their suppliers to meet production expectations. More specifically, one of the SUVís hardtop options supplied by German-based Webasto remains a sticking point. Webastoís Covid-realted production issues arenít a new problem, and have impacted the Chevrolet Corvette and the Bronco. The roof in question here is the popular painted modular hardtop, though Ford hasnít provided any update as to why the delay is persisting. Back in March, the automaker sent a letter to customers informing them they could option the Carbonized Grey molded-in-color removable hardtop or the soft top instead to try and forgo the delay. Of course this is problematic for two-door Ford Bronco customers, as the soft top isnít an option. Four-door customers would receive a sound-deadening roof liner for free as an apology for having to change their order.

Ford is upping the forgiveness tour once again, stating that all customers facing a delay will now be enrolled in the Bronco Off-Roadeo program. This is somewhat of an interesting move, as the driving experience is already included in the sale of every full-size 2021 Ford Bronco model. Previously, the automaker promised to give all customers whose orders were pushed back to 2022 $1000 worth of FordPass points to spend on accessories of their choice.

Ford Bronco Production continues to face delays, causing problems for reservation holders.

Consistent Communication

The automaker further noted in their message to Bronco reservation holders that they will be in constant contact from here on out. Customers will know when their off-roader is slated for production, when it is completed, and when it leaves the factory for delivery. Nothing out of the ordinary, but a step up from the radio silence that has been going on as of late.

So then as we draw closer to the summer delivery dates for the 2021 Ford Bronco, things remain uneasy. The production struggles facing the Ford Bronco arenít exclusive to the SUV however, as the entire industry tries to cope with the ongoing semiconductor chip shortage. The Blue Oval previously stated that this supply chain issue wonít impact the off-road 4◊4, but at this point it may not matter. Hereís to hoping that things improve as we move forwards, but this whole situation is a bummer for Bronco reservation holders.

Default What To Expect From The Electric Ford Bronco

What To Expect From The Electric Ford Bronco
Quote:
The electric Jeep Wrangler has a new rival.

The Ford Bronco has already proven itself to be an epic off-roader and with retro styling that perfectly modernizes the classic of the original, it's just as good to look at as it is to drive over tricky terrain. But while the Bronco is a great alternative to the regular Jeep Wrangler, there isn't yet a Blue Oval equivalent of the electric Wrangler. Ford has recognized that this gap in its lineup exists, and its CEO has teased an electric Bronco. But we're impatient, so we've rendered what it might look like. Beyond that, here's a collection of all the info we have on the Bronco Lightning (if that is what Ford calls it) and what we can guess it will be like.

We've taken a cue from the Mustang Mach-E and fitted the electric off-roader with a smoothed front grille that features the iconic Bronco logo. We've also added a secondary light bar in the lower section of the grille and given the SUV wheels borrowed from the F-150 Lightning. We don't expect much else in the way of styling changes, as Ford worked very hard to style the new Bronco in a modern way that still pays tribute to the original. Simply put, the Bronco's design is pretty much perfect, so why mess with it?
But what else can we expect.

Before the electric Bronco arrives, a hybrid version is expected, so don't keep your eyes open for an electric Bronco for some time yet. Assuming that this new offering borrows from the Mustang Mach-E, there could be variants that start at a base output of 266 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque all the way up to 480 hp and 634 lb-ft. However, it's worth remembering that the Mach-E is still a kind of Mustang, so the Bronco would likely have less power and torque than the top GT trim of the Mach-E. With that in mind, expect around 300 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Whatever its specs turn out to be, you can bet it will be one of the best electric off-roaders on the planet.
