Default UTEC reset at crossover?

Finally got my car running again after being down for a few years... Driving it around I notice if I stay under the throttle position crossover, things are fine. But as soon as I push the throttle enough for the UTEC to take over, the car bucks and leans out and is undriveable. Getting home was a struggle.

At first I figured it was just the tune or a leak, but I started logging from the UTEC and every single time this happens, the logging switches from logger view #1, back to the main UTEC screen, like the UTEC resets itself. This makes no sense but if the bucking and lean out is a symptom of the UTEC resetting for some reason, then maybe it does make sense. I am using Putty to connect to the UTEC. Logs are fine otherwise and only reset when this happens. I don't think it is a connection or software problem.

Any ideas?
