You realize that 'happened' and 'recently' are both past tense and you therefore are asking if any events have already happened....in the past....which means you could not attend unless you were a time traveller....and your sig says you drive a Legacy, not a DeLorean.

speaking of DeLorean, I saw one driving across the Lions Gate Bridge! so cool. I want to go back to the future.

People, just organize something that fits your schedule, and the people who can/want to come will. There isn't enough people who want to take initiative here anymore.

Take a look into SCIC forum or something, half their posts are meets. Yes, I'm not one of them either, way too busy with school these days, but I might come out if one fits my schedule. But I have organized a meet or two (aka. the big GC meet) in the past so iv done my work :P

Things to think about:

-Location, try to keep it central. If it's too far away, people arent going to drive out.
-You can't please everyone, if one person says they can't make it, dont change the time to suit that person, because youll lose two others. Pick a time and place and stick to it.
-Make it 3+ weeks of advanced notice. People have work, and many other things to do, if you give any less than that, I wouldn't expect many people to show up.
-If you want to do a cruise, plan it out well. Find a road without construction.
-Make a clear thread about it, post a goggle map of where you will be meeting and planned route if your driving anywhere. Iv seen a few meet threads that have two+ different locations and times in them and I have no idea whats going on.
-Scope out the meeting spot on the same day of the week to make sure there will be room. If you have to, call the place and ask if it's ok.

Heres an example: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...highlight=meet
It really doesn't take much work at all so don't intimidated for the people who haven't done it before.

Lots of new people here over the past year or so, would be good to get to know everyone again.
