Lightbulb Opinion

I love Toyotas but I will take the 2000 RS over the New Celica GTS anyday... The RS is 100 times more of a driver's car than the Celica. The only thing good that I can say about the Celica is the interior. Still, I find it a bit cramped for me. The RS isn't much bigger but its feels like a cockpit and suits me and my driving habits just fine. Your boss will run into a problem if he thinks that the Turbo Swap is plug and play because if I'm not mistaken the flanges are different, not to mention that the Piping may not line up with the T3/T4. If you know that the RS was not beat to death and that the proper tuning and engine management systems are in place then I would deal. There are a few Turbo'd RS's in the Private Classifieds Forum right now for sale. Check it out.

Toyota hasn't sold an AWD Celica for a long time. The 2000 GTS is FWD. Bleh. I don't know anything about the condition of that car or the quality of the turbo kit, but even an NA RS would be a superior driving experience to the Celica.

Bottom line, you can't beat the AWD! And hell if you can get one with a turbo I think everyone would agree you scored big!
