http://www.electromotive-inc.com/ , but I don't see any links for downloading WinTEC 1.1.6. I'll grab the stuff from the floppies that came with my TEC and stick them on a server.

That sucks. I had only bought that TECII a couple of months ago. Brydon you should have version2 hardware and software, but I guess Shiv made a mistake in the shipment. I am sure Shiv will fix the situation.

Brydon, seems like some members have already gotten you the version1 software. Use version1 to get home then contact Shiv about your situation. Let him know I had sold the TECII to you. Remember Vishnu Performance is really close to were you live.

good luck...

<sigh> it's too late, I already flew back. Right at 8:00am as I was leaving Eric's house to get on the plane we FINALLY got ahold of the Electromotive people who told us we could download the older software. My buddy Eric went to class, then spent some time before work finding the software. Don't know exactly where he found it, but somewhere on the website, downloaded it, and the car runs. Alas, I'm already back at work in Northern California. Shiv said talk to Fred @ Electromotive, tried 4 times to get ahold of Fred today, he's been out or on the phone, will talk to him in the morning. I want to do this right. I already have the return plane ticket (need to pickup my car anyway) so I'm going to see if Fred will send me the v2 PROM for free <crossing fingers>, have E install it, hopefully Shiv can send me the v2 baseline, and I'll be able to fly down. Pick up my car. And drive back up without too much trouble. Once again, crossing fingers #:-)

Thanks VERY much to emprezya, ibroglie, kaos and Shiv for all your help w/ this project, you guys have all endured a lot of pestering from me in my persuit of automotive utopia Hopefully my car will now run like a dream!

In closing, my approximate final costs are as follows

$4245 - used ASR Stage II turbo kit, autometer gauges, gauge pod, and TECII (new in the box) from ibroglie

$400 - 2 return plane tickets, last weekend and weekend before so I could do the work at my friend E's place

$200 - misc hoses, bolts, clamps, steel braided hoses, and tools

$380 - parts and labor, 2.5" high-flow cat and 3" Borla XR-1 straight-through muffler.

1 day of lost work

So all together I'm out just over $5,200, (plus two weekends of mine and E's time) and I'm looking at having one fast little 2.5RSt

For all those nay-sayers out there that say you need to get this professionally installed, BAH! if you have a little know-how, some good tools (a healthy credit limit doesn't hurt) and a few good contacts, you can achieve anything now we haveto see if it all holds together or not
