Default AP dead

I posted this on cobbs boards but i want to see what you guys think too. I have had my ap for a little over a year. I pretty much flashed the car once and havent touched it untill aobut a week ago. Im getting ready to sell my WRX so i unmated it. Well things fell though and now it looked like i wasnt gonna sell it so i went ahead and went to flash the base map again. I went though the steps and just after it started showing the percent the screen went to black bars like it was posting when it turned on then it just went blank. I said a little prayer and took it in and plugged it into the accessport wall wort. No dice. Deader then a door nail. I said another prayer and went to start the car. All it did was crank like it wasnt getting any fuel. Someone please help me? My accessport and my car are dead at the moment. I have another car so its not a huge deal i just need some help and there is no one at cobb right now.

First I would wait till Monday and contact Cobb directly over the phone (if they are open). They will be able to give you the best advice.

You may also want to try and pull the negative cord on the battery, drain all the power and see if the ecu resets to stock.

It really sounds like a hardware problem with the AP, Cobb will probably have you send the AP in for repairs, maybe even with your ecu.

Good Luck

well if the AP doesn't power up when plugged into the wall chances are the AP is borked. If your car doesn't start now (after you try the ecu hard reset) chances are your ECU is borked too. GL keep us posted.

I hope the wall adapter was the correct one that came with the AP,if it wasnt it you fryed the LED screen and a little more. Call Cobb tell them what you did and oyu will have to send it back to them to fix at your expense which isnt to bad. And they will send it back ready to go.

Been there done that, gl
