Talking Mr. UPS Man makes me giggle!

Well, the list bit of goodies for a while showed up today! CUSCO Front Strut brace!

So, that rounds out the list of "minor" upgrades for a while, list:

CUSCO Front Strut Brace
Whiteline 20mm Rear Bar
Primitive Front Skidplate
Genuine Subaru Rear Skidplate
Kartboy Shifter

OH! Crap, I just remembered that since Paul Eklund's rear skidplate did not fit, I was going to have him order me a set of Steel Braided brakelines... gotta write him e-mail about that...

I am as giddy as a schoolgirl. I really gotta cut down on the coffee...

So what's the reveiw of the rear sway bar?

You might call Goodridge about brake lines. The 2K Legacys use six lines! I haven't installed mine yet, I'm waiting for the two pot brakes to hit the market.

Something I forgot! We need to get someone out there to get us some STI rear control arms. Go to the STI motorsport page and look at the stronger arms!

Skid plates? Is that for driving in the dirt? Yuck!

When you get the strut brace installed, tell us what you think of it.

Also, my Whiteline adjustable rear bar finally showed up. Can't wait to put it on this weekend.

Thumbs up

Have not driven yet, but the bar went in like a charm... I bought a torque wrnch so I can Keep It Real and not snap any bolts off...

Thanks for the heads up about the brakelines, Jim... Paul Eklund sells the Goodridge lines, but I did not know that they take 6 lines... I'll have to take a look again... where are the extra two?

Yeah, Bob! MUD! I'll have to put in the Rear skidplate this weekend, it is starting to get dark when I leave work now, and I don't have a shoplight for working under my car...

So far the review of the 20mm bar: *nice* I am still really nervous about it because I have heard so many "my back end was suddenly my front end" stories I am taking my time to find the limits. But yesterday in the parking garage where there is never any cars I hit a turn hard, got the usual understeer, popped off the throttle and the back end came around and evened things up, just like a good little wagon! I just need to find out safely where that lift-throttle limit is... I *really* wish I would have had the bar for the RallyX, mud is such a good place to feel exageratted limits. Overall: steering response is much nicer now (yeah, with the rear bar) and body roll is greatly reduced.

So, for my next upgrade: I am going to upgrade the driver. Gonna save up the money and do the SIR Performace Driving School. It is about time, I think, and besides, it is the next cheapest "upgrade" (~$350)... Then next spring maybe Momo Street Racers, or DMS Suspension, or some body-pretties...
