Default Is this worth $645

"It won't let me post URLs but it is just a picture of the Cobb dyno for the Stage 1 Power Package that shows +.4 hp and +7.4 torque"

Those are some pretty marginal gains when compared to the 2.0L Turbos or the 2.5L Turbo in the STi. Are 06' WRXs running close to the limit on the stock turbo?

it's about the smooth delivery, not the increased peak power itself

Get a TBE and you'll be unleashing a lot more of untapped potential.

Read and interpret the ENTIRE chart. Many people here get all flutter over the final +XXHP figures. Cobb's stuff does W A Y more than just what the final numbers say. I know you are a new person here, but take 2 seconds out of your life and post in the appropriate forum.

Just look at the area between the two graphs, not just the peak numbers. Like unabomber said, gotta look at the entire chart.

they can be custom tuned. many tuning shops will take the dyno time to make a map for the exact mods you have done to your car. this being said, every time you made some new mods, you should have another protune (or whatever custom tune you are using) to get the most out of your new mods. i know PDXtuning will accept accessports and a list of mods you have done to your car and make an awesome custom tune so you don't have to use the ots map.

Oh, and you can get it for $595 with free shipping (even for the '06) from scoobytuner.com. That's where I got my '06 AP. You'll like stage 1, but you'll love stage 2.

He's not asking about stage two. He's asking about stage one.

to properly do a stage II your looking at a lot more than an extra $100.

I guess if you could find a $100 Downpipe you could do it. It's best to get a full TBE to get the most out of it. That's what I did and

Look for tuners in your area. They often have deals of an AP + a protune for only a hundred or so more than the AP by itself. They know that you will come back for your future tuning needs as you mod the car more.

A well tuned stage 1 will perform the same or better than an OTS stage 2 with the downpipe only. I know, I have done both. Stage 2 with only the downpipe netted 200 WHP. Stage 1 Protune on the same dyno and same day netted about 199 WHP and a little more torque under 4K.

Look for an AP + tune deal.
