Default July 29th Cascade Loop Pics, Thoughts, and miles you drove.

Hey guys. Thankyou for all coming on the drive. I thought it was extremely fun and had a blast. i drove 731 miles the last two days! There was no comparison to last year. It wasnt the cascade 500 at all. there were no asshats. Absolutely awesome people and the drive went extremely smooth. Thankyou. hopefully next year will be awesome too. Here are some of my pics. Not really good but oh well....Armin got some good ones i know!
i turned off after filling up in Leavenworth (sp?) and headed home. I hope the rest of the drive for you guys was smooth and awesome. Ther was no Chinese Pizza, so im a little disapointed .

overall, the wife and I were able to get to know some of you more and that was really neat. We hope you guys get to eastern Wa someday....cause we're the only loosers here. Looking forward to next years drive. (or a fall drive again??)

Ryan and Lauren

Fun **** man. I had one scary pass but besides that it was golden. I think the coolest part was the first tunnel. I look forward to the next.

I drove about 450 miles today. Had a great time and it was wayy less stressful than the last run

Look at this weird bug that hit my window and STUCK!

Thanks soooo much Ashlee for the upside down Perrin sticker on my windshield

Had a BLAST. it was the perfect pace- lots of fun, not too crazy at all. I put down about 500 miles or so, didn't get an exact count. Was home way earlier than I thought I would be... about 7:45 or so. The fiance and I really enjoyed it.

I'll post my pics up here when I get this camera to work, where I've got my USB cable... its a bad camera, so I'll just wait for armin's shots, too.

Armin- you're the man, thanks so much for doing an awesome job on the pics (Even though I haven't seen em yet) you managed to get rolling shots of almost everyone, I think, and they looked like sweet shots.

On one specific occasion, there was a cop that had someone pulled over on the side of the road, and he looks up at us passing (well within the speed limit) and starts shaking his head and using his lazer eyes on us, haha, it was great Someone commented over the handsets: "Is it illegal to drive or something?"

it was great.

Thanks for the great drive everyone!

Ricky, yellow 03

Good times. Very controlled drive. Everyone acted accordingly. Really well done. Finally got to see from the ground everything I've been seeing from the air.

PS: With the radios, yes, we get it, you put your walkie-talkie thingado next to your car speaker and hit transmit, we hear your music, albeit weakly. We're all tickled you have a radio in your car.

I think on the next cruise we should have a "crappiest song competition"

Ohhhh I will soooo win that one!

Sorry I missed that one. I drove though Aubrun, right past SRP today and it felt weird to not be in the WRX...

Default yay

hello all, driver of the multicolored sil-eighty reporting in:

had a great time with you all today, at least the parts when we were still grouped up.

After a delay at the Shell station outside of Concrete, we hit the pass for some nice, decently spirited driving, and stopped at the same right shoulder of Highway 20 where we did pictures last fall - but nobody else was there

Upon arriving in Winthrop we discovered that somehow our times had meshed back up (did you guys make a picture stop somewhere along the way)? and I ate the most delicious lunch EVER (a chicken tandoori wrap) while sitting outside in the shade behind a neat cafe/pizzaria.

Default Continued:

Drove on and did the lakeside photo shoot,

and drove on until we got separated in Lake Chelan, when we had to stop for gas (twin turbo inline 6's suck down gas... and so do turbo rotaries

We made one more pit stop at the "A" lot @ Stevens Pass before Ed and the white 'rex headed south, and the rest of us headed back to Burlington for some Applebee's.

Had an absolutely awesome drive. I'll have some more pictures up tomorrow, but it's pretty late and I didn't get off the road until after 10:30 so it's time to hit the sack for now.

Sorry, I'm half Indian, and nothing in that wrap looks remotely like tandooried chicken.

i don't know too much about Indian cuisine, but i got the wrap and was thinking "uhh, this is not red."

That's what they called it, and it WAS delicious, even if it wasn't marinated in a yogurt-spice mix for a day and then cooked in the correct type of oven

Thanks for the awesome time, guys I'm still working on my pics...I got up at 4:30 on Saturday morning to bring my parents to the airport, and somehow had an impromptu drinky drinky party at my house after we got back so yeah...pics probably won't be up until a little later

Oh and I do believe Wence and I would win the worst song contest. Hell, we had some old-school Dexy's Midnight Runners going at the end there.
