Cool Cascade Loop Cruise--some pics

Well, crashfx and I made pretty good time to Burlington this morning (was only about 1 hour from the border) and after a full day of driving (and hardly any border line-up) I got back to Coquitlam by around 9:30pm.

That included, of course, a little (big?) sugar fix at exit 230 .

I brought back 3 dozen...mmmm....donuts....

I was a pretty good drive with around 20 cars on the whole cruise including a couple of skylines and I have to admit that I did make the mirrors howl one or two (or three? ) times. The overall speed was faster than the Chinook Pass drive at Alki Beach, but there were stretches of it where the roads were quite congested and that just about put me to sleep. Anyway here's some of the pictures my wife and I took today. Justin, I took a bunch with your car in it--I'll try to post them up tomorrow.

hahah, I used to drive all the way down to Issaquah for krispy kreme back in the day. but you do realise that you dont need to bring donuts cross border anymore, since there is a kripsy kreme in Delta right?

Yeah, it was funny because the cop was shaking his head at us as we went by. We were going slow at that point because we were stuck behind Jeep Grand Cherokee. Needless to say, around the next bend, the Jeep pulled over and let us all pass .

Here's another preview pic. These guys went on the cruise with us, but never seemed to be able to stay together. They did get to the lake in time for the big Kodak moment.

Yeah, I know, I was just trying to re-live the old days .

Plus, I can't get motivated to drive to Delta --the drive across the border is much more fun .

Postscript: I emailed Krispy Kreme that picture with the story behind it and got this response today:

"Thank you so much for sharing your photo and feedback! We are currently considering dedicating a section of our website to customer stories and pictures. If the plan comes to fruition, we might like to post your picture, provided you don't have any objections. Please let us know if we can use your picture in the future."

Default Hmm

I don't care if Vancouver is a 14 hour drive for me, I will be there for sure next year!

The Subaru community is one of the contributing factors of me getting the STi. My 2nd choice was a Charger SRT-8, but this is much better
