Default noob AP question about changing map versions

So yah im a noob and i admit it...My question is this, i have the old revision of cobb maps on my used AP. I would like to put the new versions on it. In order to do this i need connect the AP to the PC? After this is done do i need to simply just delete the old ones that are on the AP and then import the new versions onto the AP? I believe the used AP that i bought is a old version becuase the instructions are not consistant with the what the AP is asking/telling. Also i had to download the "patch" off Cobb's website to get it to connect with my computer. So in a nutshell, what steps do i need to take in order to put new revisions on the AP. finally, i have the old version flashed to stage1 on my car. Do i need to unmarry the AP before i try to change versions? Thanks in advance!

- Can I get
A wayo

Too many questions that can be answered by searching imo.

I'll answer one.

You have to take maps off of the AccessPort before you put new ones on.

Also, you can download the latest instructions on thier site.

The ap will only hold a certain number of maps, IIRC, 7 base maps, 9 real time. Go to the Cobb website and search for the instructions. Download maps from Cobb website, open them with map manager, use map manager to add, delete, move, etc. maps to and from the pc/ap.

Would it work if I bought an AP for an 02 WRX, and I download 05 WRX mapping?
I'm not sure whether I can delete 02 mapping and download 05 mapping.
