My dads car:

2007 Forester XT Sports
Cobb turbo back exhaust - he recently replaced the catback with an 06 sti catback cause he hated how loud it was.
Injen CAI
STI swaybars
STI springs
OEM 17" rims (gave me the wheels that came with the car)
Slotted rotors

I have these part waiting to be installed:
Vf48 - 16k miles, mint condition
09 STI tmic, bpv & fuel pump - mint
JDM Bugeye STI scoop
Planning on a custom dyno tune.

What does everyone think? Any sugestions/comments?

Here's the lucky fella:

Will have more pics when I start the project!

He hates the rims so they are up for sale. He also didn't like how loud the exhaust was, so I found him a stock sti exhaust. COBB is also up for sale.
Still waiting on the damn turbo... It got sent to the dead mail facility in Atlanta cause the labels fell off. Fricken usps sucks!

He likes the stock look. I'm getting a set of 09 rims for my bugeye and he really likes those... sti bbs are nice tho. I doubt I'll be able to find a set of 08 fxt sports bbs wheels. Or the head and tail lights. The only thing I don't like about the 08s is the wagon pillar is not painted...

Does he have both Sti Struts and pink springs on this puppy or stock struts and forester specific pinks? If STi struts, i would have thought you would get a lower profile.

It has to be Stock FXT struts and STi pink springs (maybe the Forester Pinks) Cause I run 04 WRX STi struts and Spec C springs and I am a good 2.5 inches lower. But even when I had 06 springs it was a good 2'' lower.

Edit* Yeah they must be Forester struts..cause they aren't red!

2nd Edit-- Nice car BTW, you have one lucky dad!

So the Vf34 I bought ended up getting lost at the USPS dead mail facility and the guy I bought it from was cool enough to give me a refund. It still kind of sucks cause that turbo was in mint condition and was a steal.

So I ended up buying the first nice turbo that I could find which ended up being a mint vf48 with only 12k miles on it. I got the tmic, bpv and fuel pump from the same sti so I could get a fair deal (pricey... rightfully so).

I updated the parts list since my dad decided he does not want to use the tgv deletes and exhaust manifolds. I also got a GS boost control solenoid after hearing so many people rave about it.

I'll have picks of the parts when I'm at my dads next... Not sure when I can get around to installing everything, but hopefully soon.

That dude wasnt being nice. UPS will refund his money, so he was doing whats right.

What years did subaru make that model forester XT with the 2.5, 2006 and 2007?

Forester was 2.5 since they made the turbo model in the states... 04+ thus the 2.5XT

Coming from another FXT owner, car looks great but I'd love to see a different wheelset on it.

This model = 06-08. 2008 sports being the best IMO (black headlights and taillights)

Yea, I updated the op. He took them off and gave them to me. He put his stockers back on (had 225/55 snows on them). In spring he will be getting some all season tires. The oem wheels look so much better on the fxt.

I was very surprised these wheels (mb sports boost) look really good on my wrb bugeye wagon. I was not planning on keeping them, but I may...

Wow what a long time ago... resurrecting this with an update. The build was done in 2011... we swapped the Cobb cat back out for a stock STI one. Been running strong with a modest Precision Tuning tune at 300 hp for 6 years now. Now at 125,000 miles. Burns a little oil but hey, it's an angry toaster after all! Great news is now I'm buying it! Going to drive it like I stole it and build it once I blow it. More to come!!

Was just thinking, in the time he's had this car I went from a 1998 Hyundai Elantra to a 2002 wrx wagon to a 2007 G35 coupe to a 2012 Mazda 3 hatch to a 2015 Ford 150. 5 cars... wishing I still had the bugeye
