when ever i go really high rpms i like to double clutch ... you would shift a second later but you won't happen to miss it ...

it probably has to do with the engine speed and the layshaft speed... you gotta match them for it to go in gear

Today i had the same problem at the track i ran twice and it would not let me into 3rd once and 2nd once.

What i figured out is that since the tranny fluid was cold and not warm and flowing, it caused this problem, so on my 3rd run i kep the car running and drove through the lines, and the tranny was easy to shift.

Maybe this is the problem, I might change out my tranny fluid with something like redline d4atf or something like that.

Talking Teehee.

Take it to your local friendly dealer and tell them that, ever since you started racing, you've been having problems getting the car into gear. I'm sure they'll look at it under warranty!

Hey Dennis, let me guess, you go to Westfield right? I drive the other black one (with the SSRs). How many miles do you have in your car so far? If it's broken in, I'd like to run with your a couple of times.

OK, since no one has answered yet, I'll toss in a serious answer. When you shift, the stick moves a little bit, the synchros kick in and, once the synchros sync up the drive shaft to the rest of the tranny, the stick moves the rest of the way into gear. At high RPM shifts, that's that notchy feel before the stick "clicks" into place.

If you rev too high and don't give the synchros enough time to do their job, it's difficult to force the stick into place. Since you can't move the stick any farther and it's only half engaged, it feels like it won't let you go into gear. Try giving the engine a little longer to rev down so the synchros have a little more time to work. Also, make sure that the clutch is fully depressed.
