Default Non-AVCS Cams in STI Heads

What's involved in putting non-AVCS cams into the STI heads? The heads I'm working with had Jun 272 cams in them, but I am probably going to put Corworth cams in that allow me to have AVCS again. But I'm not sure what they had to do to install non-AVCS cams in the heads and I don't have a stock set of heads to compare against.

I dont think anything has to be done.. The cam's them self's are the things that stop the AVCS from working...
I was talking to a shop, that I ordered my camshafts from. I ordered NON-AVCS cams first. Thay didnt have it listed as NON-avcs. it just said 06 sti.
So I ordered them. Then I just happened to think about it b4 I got them, and I called and ASKED . Thay told me thay were a DIRECT DROP in cam that delete's AVCs.
And I wouldn not have to do anything. SO, as haveing AVCS is a must for me, I sent back and ordered the right ones.

BUT since you have been running NON-AVCS, you might have to BE tuned again FOR The avcs to work right..

I tried this on a build - Non AVCS JUN's in AVCS heads - and could not get rid of oil leaks from the oil flow control valve covers. Leak was small but annoying. Tried several times to refit the covers with everything well cleaned up, degreased, different sealants, incl 3 Bond, to no avail. Have now pulled the cams to try the AVCS ones. This could still be due to something I was doing wrong and I only have one example to go on!
