Default underground lighting for 04 sti

Im trying to install underground lights for my subby, and i want to run them into a switch, rather then plugging into the cigerette lighter. Hoping someone has done this before and can give me a tutorial on it. I think instead running to the lighter cut that and run to auxilary box then to the fuse box then to a switch, but then again ive never done this so. Any help will be appreciated thanks.

Lay everything out before you start ANYTHING....

You need either a fused line or circuit breaker....

Circuitbreakers are easier in the long run IMO... because you can hit the little button and all is fine again..

Cut the cig lighter adapter off... make sure you ground your wire to your chassis... and run the other power wire to a switch in your drivers area. From the switch, continue the power to your 12v source (ie the clock output or radio or cig area, or directly to the battery) Make sure you have your switch properly grounded as well...

for some reason i dont think that sounded clear but hey... good luck with it..

Oh yea why are you putting underbodies on a suby??? they are meant for rally/offroad fun!!!! those neon tubes will pop.
